Hi everyone! Thanks for checking out my light novel.

This is my first time making a light novel so expect typos and unstable updates.

As soon as my sensei says Hajime!!

I knew my match has started

That's how it always has been anyway

I see my opponement coming at me

The second I see him coming I'm already next to him

he falls on the ground because of a well timed de ashi barai

"what's the time?" I ask to Katashi sensei

"6 seconds!" he answers

"shit, thought I did better. Damn it!"

"Akio come here "

Katashi sensei is one of those old men you see in most manga nowadays

he's old. but really muscular

I've never seen him do a full match but i can bet all my money on it that hes really good.

as i walk to him he turns around and says. "Lets go for a walk akio"

Surprised by the seriousness of his face i walk with him.

"Akio. Do you know for how long you have been doing judo now?"

"11 years sensei"

"i see" he says while scratching his beard

"And do you have any other ambitions with judo "

"no sensei not at the moment" i answer with curiosity

"ever thought about going to a school for judo?"

"no, but why would i? can't i just stay here and learn everything about judo?"

"you see Akio, there comes a point in life 

where you have to break out of your comfort zone and try something different"

"there's this high class judo school in Kyoto"

"I've enlisted you already, the only thing you have to do is tell me if you want to go"

"classes start next week so let me know before then"

i didn't knew what to say, what did he just say? 

before i realized it i had already answered "yes sensei i'd love to go there!"

"alright then its settled, classes start next Tuesday so prepare yourself until then, you'll need it."

"eh..? isn't it just a school but then focused on judo? "

"if that is what you believe my boy, there will be a lot more surprises for you to come" 

he laughs as he turns around and walks off.

what a strange guy is Katashi sensei, he is as mysterious as ever.

i quickly change into my normal clothes and start to go home 

which is not so far from the dojo because sensei is my fathers best friend so they live really close.

I smile as i look up at the sky

its already 11 years since i started doing judo.

and now I'm about to go to Kyoto and continue my journey.

i hope i can find someone who is better than me 

i have never lost a match ever, 

mom says its because i have talent for the sport,

but i think its just because i have a load of luck instead of skill.

yeah... its probably just luck.

as I take a quick shower i think back at the first time i saw judo.

I was 4, my dad took me with him to a judo match

he himself doesn't play judo but katashi sensei did.

when we were watching katashi sensei threw his opponement

with an awesome ippon seoi nage

"awesome!" i yelled 

"then why don't you do judo for yourself?"

my dad said to me while smiling

"Sure!" I replied with an even bigger smile.

and since then, I've been doing judo.

but what did katashi sensei mean with preparing myself? 

I mean its not like I'll be leaving forever right?

I think to myself as i get in bed and fall asleep.
