The alarm went off.
My head spun as I rolled off my bed, groaning.
I hobbled over to my dresser, picked out my outfit for the day, and threw it on me.
The smooth socks I chose slid on perfectly, as well as my shoes.
I went into the mirror and spent the next few minutes straightening my hair, right before I threw my bookbag over my shoulder and headed out for the bus with my brother, Micheal.
It was warm outside.
The sun shot out from the street corner, causing me to squint my eyes. I blinked and put in my ear buds.
I heard the wild middle school kids over my blaring music as I looked for an empty spot by the high school kids in the back, when the bus pulled up.
I sat in the seat, gently, as my mind wondered off.
We continue for about 15 minutes, almost to school. Suddenly, the bus jolts back.
Everyone is screaming but all I hear is blank noise as I watch everyone panic.
I don't comprehend what the fuss is about. I'm confused.
I hear the bus jolting and screeching around.
My body is completely numb. I can't move.
I feel dizzy. But I stay calm.
I'm scared and worried but I don't know how to react.
There's blood all over me.
But I can't find where it is coming from.
Everything's happening so fast but my brain continues to process it slowly.
I feel like I'm in a movie or a dream, like everything happening isn't real. Maybe I'm dying.
"maybe"... "maybe"
The word plays in my mind on repeat. My knees feel so weak
. I try to scream for Micheal but not a sound comes out.
I can barely keep my eyes open.
It hurts. Everything hurts.
I can't breathe. I feel like I have a brick on my chest.
But I can't feel it at the same time.
The world gets darker and darker.
My pulse gets softer and softer.
I can no longer hear or see anything. My mind goes blank.
"Where am I?", a voice in the back of my mind whispers.
I think I'm gone.
