The Bond We Have

Chapter 2: How Izuku Met Eren - Part Two

                   So far, Izuku was having a pretty good morning; not only was he able to take notes on Kamui Woods' fight against the against the giant quirk user, but he also met someone around his age (aside from Ochako) who liked watching heroes as much as he did. Although, there had been one thing that was bothering Izuku; he felt like he had seen Eren before. 

                "Um, excuse me, b-but, have I met you before, because you look familiar?", Izuku asked while stuttering less since he had gotten more comfortable with Eren. Eren smiled because of Izuku's question, "We haven't officially met until now, but you have seen me around. We have the same lunch period, and I sometimes pass by you in the hallways at school," he explained. Izuku thought about it for a second before realizing that he had remembered seeing Eren in the cafeteria a few times. "Oh yeah, you're right," Izuku mumbled. 

                   Before they could continue with their conversation, the crowd erupted with loud cheers, and as Izuku and Eren looked at the battle in front of them, they saw that Kamui Woods had captured the giant villain in a wooden cage. Izuku looked at the sight with astonishment, "Wow, it's the 'Preemptive Binding Lacquered Chain Prison'! That's Kamui Woods' special move; he shoots out wood from his arm and surrounds his enemy with the wood to immobilize them, it's so cool!" Eren chuckled at Izuku's enthusiasm, 'I like this guy, he's a bit of a fanboy, but his knowledge on heroes is incredible,'  Eren thought. 

                  "Hey Eren, can I ask you something?", Izuku asked, causing Eren to snap out of his thoughts. "Oh sure, what is it that you want to ask me?", Eren asked. "Well, y-you see, I like analyzing quirks, so I was w-wandering if you could tell me what your quirk is, so that I could take notes on what it can do?", Izuku asked nervously. Eren pretended to think about it for a second before he smiled and shook his head, "Nah, sorry, I can't." Izuku looked at Eren confused, had he done something wrong to make Eren not want to talk about his quirk? Eren chuckled at Izuku, "No, you didn't do anything wrong to make me say no, I just don't feel like talking about what my abilities are." Izuku stared at Eren wide-eyed, was he talking out loud, or was Eren reading his mind? "I'm not reading your mind,  you're just easy to read," Eren explained. Izuku was impressed, "Wow, that's pretty cool, are you always this good at reading people?" "Actually, yes," Eren admitted. "I've always been good at reading people,  you could even say that reading people is my second quirk," he quipped. Izuku chuckled at the brunette's joke, 'Eren seems like a pretty cool guy, I wonder if he would want to be friends with me?,' he thought.

                 Izuku snapped out of his thoughts and checked the time on his phone, when he saw the time his eyes widened in shock. "Ah crap, if we don't hurry, we're going to be late for school!" "Well, what are we waiting for? Come on, let's go!,"Eren yelled as he started running towards the direction of the school. "H-Hey! Wait for me Eren, I can't run that fast!," Izuku called as he tried to catch up to Eren.

               After a ten minute run, Eren made it to school with Izuku lagging a bit behind him, completely out of breath. Eren checked the time on his phone and smiled, "We made it with a few a minutes to spare," he announced. Izuku finally caught his breath and frowned, "Why didn't you slow down, I barely kept up with you?" "Hey, I did slow down, if I continued to run at the pace that I was going when I started running, I would have been in class by now and you would have been a block away from the school," Eren argued. Izuku stared at Eren with wide eyes, "Wow, really, you're that fast? Do you workout a lot, and if so is it because your physical strength has something to do with how your quirk works? This just makes me wonder what your quirk is even more...," Izuku began to mumble. Eren sweatdropped at his possibly new friend mumbling to himself, "Um, Izuku, you're kind of rambling there dude." Izuku stopped and blushed in embarrassment, "Yeah, sorry about that, it's a bad habit." "That's a weird, bad habit to have," Eren pointed out. Izuku blush turned more red, "Y-Yeah, I guess it is. A-Anyways, we s-should head to class, s-so, I-I'll see you around, right?," he mentally berated himself for sounding so nervous and stupid. Eren chuckled at Izuku's embarrassment, "Yeah, you'll see me around." 

            With their conversation out of the way, the two teens headed inside, and went in the opposition direction of the other's classroom. Little did these two know, there encounter with one another paved the path for them to become the world's greatest heroes.
