"Uhh... Yeah, about the plan. I was just thinking, is it really necessary? I mean, isn't there another way to do it?" I asked nervously.
I can't believe I actually had the balls to answer back to Boss.
It didn't feel good.
In fact, I thought that I might actually have pissed my pants.
"What are you trying to say, Luke?" Boss answered, still calm.
"I'm just saying, isn't it a bit evil?" I asked.
Can someone shut me up?
"I see." Boss said, getting out of his chair.
He walked to me slowly, the rest of the gang slowly forming behind him.
"Well, it seems like you're either with us or against us Luke. I advise that you pick your sides carefully since you know what happens to the other side." He smiled evilly.
"Well, I just thought that-"
"Then don't think!" The whole room jumped at Boss' outburst. "Do you know who I am? I've taken on some of the most dangerous people on this earth, this is child's play compared to that, do you really think I'll let a teenage boy stand in my way?" Boss cut me off angrily, his face suddenly red with rage.Alex mouthed "RUN" to me.
"Grab him!" Someone suddenly shouted, and I knew it was time to to put Alex's advise to use
I bolted out of the cellar, putting my good running skills to use. I heard several footsteps behind me, but it only made me faster to know I was being chased.
I saw an alleyway and quickly took advantage of it.
I went through the narrow space, smiling when I heard music on the other side.
This was perfect timing for a party.
I climbed over the fence of the persons backyard, and easily got over it.
Wow. We really need better security in this town.
I saw through a crack in the fence that Boss and co. came out of the alleyway and were looking around.
I took this opportunity to go through the party and go out of the front.
I picked up a hat that covered my face just in case I was recognised, and I took off my bright blue hoodie.
Knowing that they would probably be guarding my normal route home, I decided to take the longer way home, a way even Izzy didn't know.
I started walking down the street from the house, and I was silently thinking to myself.
How was I going to get out of this?
I was nearly at the end of the street when I heard a voice.
"Umm excuse me, can you spare any change?"
I jumped out of my skin, looking around to see where it had come from.
I finally located the source of the voice when I looked down to see a chubby girl sitting on the pavement.
She wanted change? I didn't even know you had beggars in this type of neighbourhood...
Well, we do have gangs so I guess anything could happen.
"Uhh, yeah of course, um, I'm afraid I've only got $200 spare, can I give you some more tomorrow?" I fumbled in my pocket, looking for the 2 crisp $100 notes that I had put in there.
Shiz, I had left it in my hoodie.
She looked at me in disbelief, her eyes wide.
I looked up, about to apologise for not having the money, only to freeze when I saw her face.
