Louis: (shakes hand) "Ok, Harry.. So what's the plan?"
Harry: "Well.." (looks around the small elevator) "There's not really much we can do."
Louis: "We should probably call for help, right?"
Harry: (laughs) "Yeah, that would probably be a good idea."
(Louis pulls out his phone)
Louis: "Oh no.."
Harry: "What's wrong?"
Louis: "My phone.." (frantically clicks buttons) "It's dead!"
Harry: (scoffs to self) "Perfect."
Louis: (snappy) "Well where's your phone, Mr. Perfect?"
Harry: "I didn't bring it."
Louis: "What kind of a person goes somewhere without their phone?"
Harry: "Well excuse me for not living on my phone every second." (folds arms) "Who goes somewhere without charging their phone anyway?"
Louis: "It's almost midnight, Harry." (pauses) "I had a long day, I didn't have time to charge it."
(awkward pause)
Harry: "So.. Do you wanna talk about your day, now?"
Louis: (eyes wide) "Excuse me?"
Harry: "Well.." (shrugs) "We're probably gonna be here a while.."
Louis: "Do you not understand the gravity of our current situation! We don't have time for small talk right now." (starts pacing again) "We need to find a way out of here."
Harry: "Alright, Alright.." (helps him look around)
(Louis walks over to the buttons by the door)
Louis: "What do you think this red button does?"
Harry: "Umm.." (pouts lip out) "I have no idea."
Louis: (turns head) "Should I push it?"
Harry: "I suppose it couldn't get any worse."
Louis: "Well.." (lays finger on the button) "Here goes nothing."
(Louis presses the red button, causing the elevator to shake violently)
Louis: "Oops!"
Harry: "I think you hit the emergency break!"
Louis: (frantic) "What do I do!?"
Harry: (points) "Try hitting it again!"
(Louis slams the button, suddenly the shaking stops)
Louis: "Ok.." (dusts self off) "Let's never do that again."
Harry: "Agreed.."
Louis: (turns toward Harry) "What do we do now?"
Harry: "I don't know."
(Harry shrugs before plopping down on the floor)
Harry: "I suppose we just.. wait."
Louis: "What do you think you're doing?"
Harry: "Sitting.."
Louis: (glares) "Why are you sitting?" (annoyed) "You can't sit. We need to find a way out of here!"
Harry: "How do you expect to escape an elevator?" (snorts) "There's no way out except that door." (points)
Louis: "Well.." (places hand on the door) "Let's try to open it."
Harry: "What?"
Louis: "We could have stopped on one of the floors.." (exhales) "It's worth a try."
Harry: "Alright.." (stands up) "Let's give it a shot."
(Harry stands opposite of Louis, placing his hands on the door)
Louis: "Ok.. We pull on three."
Harry: "Ok."
Louis: "One. Two. Three-"
(They tug on each side of the door as hard as they can)
Louis: "Come on!" (pulls) "Pull harder!"
Harry: "I'm pulling as hard as I can!"
(the door doesn't budge)
Louis: "Keep trying!"
Harry: (let's go) "This is hopeless, Louis."
Louis: (frantic) "No! You can't give up! K-Keep trying.."
Harry: "There's no way we can open it.." (sighs) "It's just too heavy."
(Louis throws his face into his hands, pacing back and fourth)
Louis: "No. No. No." (mumbles) "We're gonna die.. There's no way out of this.."
Harry: "Louis-"
Louis: (interrupts) "Don't you understand! We have no phone, it's the middle of the night, nobody knows we're here, the air is thinning-" (clutches chest) "I-I can't breathe."
Harry: (walks in front of him) "You're just having a panic attack."
Louis: "N-No.." (struggling to breathe) "I-I'm having an asthma attack."
