The Serum of Betterment

The golden cup sat on a marble tabletop. The tabletop was in the 3rd floor of a flat in Intel hills, Siliconpur. The cup was made of pure gold, and weighed nearly 200 grams. But that wasn't the interesting bit about the cup, the

serum it contained was the real deal.

Two men entered the room.

"Do you think it will work?" asked Dr Daniel Laddoo.

"Well... considering we spent 10 billion drachma on it, let's hope it does" replied Dr Steven Guddu.

Steve looked at the bed in the corner of the room. It had shackles and restraints around it. Designed to be a torture device, it was now being put to a much better use.

"Shall we proceed?" he asked.
"Perhaps we should wait till the hour of the lion. Its not suitable doing it at the moment in the hour of the dragon" replied Dan.

"Nonsense, if we delay it we may need to go well into the night before we finish."

"Very well. Lets not wait any longer."

Louis Styles was a man in his twenties, with curly black hair. He was 5' tall with a wide but skinny frame. He had a beard growing here and there in patches on his pudgy and round face.

Almost all the people who had the displeasure of meeting him described him as dumb, stupid, good for nothing and so on.

He was a below average performer in all fields of life. He was a terrible cook, he had a terrible job, and he lived in a rundown apartment in the poorest area of Siliconpur.

He was found trying to hopelessly trying to use Bingbong Pay at a machine which only accepted poles.
He was evaluated by a psychiatrist, who reported that he had no confidence at all, self esteem so low that it barely existed and a terrible memory.In the fitness test, he barely managed to walk 2 gigameters and couldn't even do a single push up. He wasn't even able to hold his breath for 10 seconds and had no hand-eye coordination.

In the aptitude assessment, he got a score in negative, managed to get all his spellings wrong and had no sense of grammar.

Overall, he was the perfect candidate.
