I froze; the guard yelled, telling me to get a move on. The unearthly screeching sent all of us into shock, soon turning into fear. Some cried the moment they reached the door. I didn't know what was coming, but it'd be painful. “Next!” I was two kids away from the cold metal plated door. I closed my eyes, hearing a scream from behind the door. The girl in front of me started to cry. “Shut up!” A guard yelled, slapping her cheek. My eyes widened and I forced myself to swallow tears that threatened to fall. “Next!” My sore bare feet scraped across the dark tiled floor as I made my way forward while the next child went in. I wouldn't survive a slap to the cheek, no matter how strong I looked. “Next!” The girl in front of me quivered and shook, her fear obvious. I cringed away from the door as a laugh echoed in the next room. “Stand up straight!” The guard yelled at me. I didn't dare look him in the eyes, knowing I'd be hit like the last child that stared at him. “Next!” My skin crawled as the door opened...

Review:

This story is one of a kind. It is about a young girl who is tortured and sold as a slave. The description makes you feel sorry for the girl and creates empathy. You instantly fall in love with the story and the characters. 'Branded to him' is unique and you just can't put it down. Updates about once every 2 weeks but is worth the wait. I believe this is one of the best books on wattpad.

Me: What inspired you to write 'Branded to Him'?

BlackInkHeart: I guess it was a spur of the moment. I wasn't in the greatest of moods and got on my laptop and just started writing. Once I read what I had written, I realized that it could turn out to be a good story.

Me: Who's your favourite character and why?

BlackInkHeart: Ahh, that's a tough one, but in the end I think I'd have to say Master Carthwrite. I love writing about him and his random bi-polar-ness. I love how he's authoritative, yet has a soft side.

Me: I think he's my favourite too. Do you see yourself  having a career as an author?

BlackInkHeart: I would love to have a career as an author, but it would be on the side of whatever my main career would be.
