Which just proved that I was in a lot more pain after punching Dimitri than he probably was.

"What the fuck did you do to my sister?!"

He gave a lazy stretch and smirked at me, "Do you really wish to know?"

"Knock it off, Dimitri. Jared, what the hell are we doing here?... Where exactly is here anyways?"

Sloane had begun glancing around and taken a deep breath. A strange frown crossed her face before snapping around to Dimitri again as she pushed herself into a standing position that would make her look less fragile.

"Why the hell are we in a torture chamber? I don't get my kicks off this shit, Dimitri."

"Ah, I digress that statement, Ast. From what I've read in those 'The Curse of the Blood' Eulogies that you wanted me to translate, you very much will need to get your kink in this kind of place."

Her frown deepened further as anger rose inside her glowing green eyes. Uh oh. She was livid. "What the fuck do you mean?"

"Mm, well if I do recall the exact wording was 'One of the Calling for Blood nurtures themselves on the magic infused with 'Madness, Despair, Pain, Suffering, Hopelessness, and Torture' caused by the Starving One.'"

"Starving Ones.. Meaning the Gods? Why would I need to be in a Dungeon for tha.. ah. Well I guess without Gods roaming the planet and causing travesty, a Master Vampire's torture room would make up for that."

My mood wasn't getting any better the more I thought about the fact that my sister not only had to feed on blood but now needed to feed on such despicable things in order to live. There was no way I could tell anyone outside of our group about this. If any of the Coven Members were to hear any news of this, I think they'd rather destroy her than try to reason with her.

Sloane's powers had begun to start turning more dark in nature the older we've gotten and just drinking blood alone had made her an outcast in our Circle. Regardless of where she was though, I'd follow her together.

"According to the scrolls, you'll need to feed this way periodically. I would advise you feed every day though since overindulging is better than complete depletion."

She rolled her eyes, "How very helpful. Unfortunately, aside from you, I don't have any ready supply of willing victims lined up."

"It's not necessary to have dying victims. You can go to the club for S&M play. We've got pets who go for pain which you can feed off of. If you visit frequently enough during feedings, you won't need such large quantities for food."

I could tell Sloane was frustrated. Not at Dimitri but at her circumstances. If it hadn't been for the ShadowMancer maybe she wouldn't have these dark powers. It was under speculation that the ShadowMancer's blood is the reason why these powers kicked up inside of her. Although, I wouldn't mention the fact that she was capable of seeing the Demon in the ShadowRealm prior to drinking the ShadowMancer's blood. She probably ignored that detail or pretended ignorance.

As I thought about the ShadowRealm I began growing concerned at Sloane's rising goosebumps and shudders.

"Dimitri can we get out of the Dungeon? I'm sure Sloane doesn't need the added stress."

He seemed to also realize her almost shellshocked roaming eyes. To be honest though, she looked like she was seeing into the ShadowRealm with her eyes movements. On closer speculation I saw the tale tale signs of the black spreading over the white of her eyes.

"You may stay inside my room if you so wish. Though, I'd like to assert, I will be staying in there as well."

"We'll only be here long enough for Sloane to gather herself together."
