Chapter 5: How do I title?

Start from the beginning

"Know what? I'm absolutely sure. And really, you can't blame me for wanting a hug after I got yanked into another universe where monsters are real, Gabriel." The archangel winced. Jen had won that one. "Let's get on with it, then," she sighed. "What should I focus on? Just, like, the general idea of Supernatural? Or something specific?"

"Jeez, it's so weird to hear that," Dean said. "You've seen our lives on friggin' TV." Jen shrugged and grinned sheepishly. Gabriel rolled his eyes.

"Castiel, could you keep Dean busy somewhere else, please? Somewhere not here?" Jennifer's terrible, terrible mind practically dove into the gutter at Gabe's words. She yanked it out violently. She was glad that she did when Gabriel spoke again. "And take Kelly, too. The kid - Jack, was it? - shouldn't have enough power left to do anything serious." Castiel nodded. Dean looked ready to protest, but Gabriel glared at him, and he seemed to decide against it. Cas helped Kelly up, and the three left the room. Gabriel snapped his fingers and the door slammed shut. He sighed and turned back to Jennifer.

"Okay, where were we? Oh right, I would say just focus on one clear, specific memory from one episode. I should be able to glean all the info from that one, then we can do it again for the others. Was this an episode? Like, today?" Gabriel asked. Jen nodded.

"Yeah, um, actually the place you stuck me was the tail end of episode 19," she explained. "So, I can just show you that one and all the ones after it, if that works."

"Yeah, that should be good," Gabriel said. He did his signature eyebrow raise, which made Jen crack a smile. "You got a memory in mind?" She quickly thought of something from episode 19. A really clear memory.... Cas catching the car keys that Dean tossed him.

"Yeah, got it." At her confirmation, Gabriel placed two fingers on her forehead. Suddenly the entire episode was flashing in front of her closed eyelids. When had she closed her eyes? When everything was the normal dark red that was customary to find behind eyelids, she cracked one open. Gabriel was glaring at the door like it had insulted him. "Um.... ready for the next one?" Jen ventured to ask. Gabriel snapped his eyes to her, and she had to will herself not to flinch away. "I've got a memory in mind." It was the one of the Banes twins calling the Winchesters, and it was one of Jennifer's clearer memories of that episode.

Gabriel nodded. "Righty-o, kiddo. You good?" Jen gave him a forced smile.

"Are you?" He rolled his eyes at that and lifted his fingers to her forehead. Episode 20 flashed in front of her eyes this time. Sam and Dean discussing the Colt and Cas in the bunker, the twins, their mother, Mary and the Brits, everything. Including the Alicia Banes double. Oh no, that was certainly going to cause some problems at some point, though it definitely wasn't at the top of the list. Jennifer had to gasp in air after Gabe took his fingers away from her forehead; she'd kind of forgotten to breathe. And the archangel was looking angry again.

"Oh my Dad, what dicks! Seems like making bad choices runs in the Winchester family, too." Jen tried not to show how much that pissed her off.  Now wasn't the time. Gabriel's voice softened as he addressed her directly. "And hey kiddo, you've gotta remember to breathe next time, okay?" Jen nodded. Then hiccuped. Loudly. Dammit, this was 'cause she'd accidentally held her breath, wasn't it? Jen clapped a hand over her mouth as her face began to heat up. There was no doubt in her mind that she was turning an embarrassed bright red. Gabriel snickered. "You good there?" Jen held her nose and turned her face to the ceiling. She also tried to shake her head at the same time. And she hiccuped, which made her ears pop uncomfortably. Gabriel smirked and snapped his fingers. A few moments later, Jen hadn't hiccuped, and she was pretty sure they were gone.... for now..... she did, however, have a memory from 12x21 in mind. Eileen's death. *cue uncontrollable sobbing from the author* *end of wall break*

Gabriel must've seen the half heartbroken, half this-person-is-going-to-murder-someone look on her face, because he asked, "How bad is this next one?" in a cautious tone that an archangel really shouldn't need to use. Jen shook her head.

"Um, thanks for helping my hiccups. They're terrible, I get really intense ones. I dunno. Um." She was stalling, and they both knew it. Jen sighed. "Bad. It's not even the worst, but it's really bad. Let's just get this over with, please." She moved to stand in front of Gabriel, who nodded. "Keep both hands on the wheel," she joked weakly. He wouldn't understand the reference yet, but it helped lighten her own mood a bit. Eileen wasn't dead, she had to remind herself. Eileen was on her way to the bunker with Sam, and didn't they make the cutest couple? Yeah. But she still had to bring Eileen's death to the forefront of her mind in order to help Gabriel, and Jen would be lying if she said it didn't hurt.

Gabriel put two fingers to her forehead again, and 12x21 flashed through her mind. It was painful. Emotionally, that is. And her desire to punch Ketch in his stupid smug face until it was unrecognizable returned to her in full force. And they still had two more episodes to get through... Jennifer blinked her eyes open to see Gabriel sitting on the floor, conjuring candy bar after candy bar and shoving them in his mouth. Somehow, each one was gone before the next was shoved in, despite the fact that there were only a couple seconds in-between. Dammit, how were they going to make it through two more episodes? Especially 12x23...

"Could we take a break?" she asked timidly. Gabriel nodded without looking up.

"Yeah, kiddo, a break sounds good."
