Hello there! I'm Skylar, I'm currently 16 years old, in the 10th grade, and living the shittiest life possible in this goddamn miserable town I call home. Quite an into right? Well I'm here to tell you MY story and I'm not going to sugar coat shit for you, so sit down and enjoy this shitty story called my life.

It all started when I was 12 years old. Before then I had a happy, pretty pink princess life but shit happens right? So life decided to take a shit on me. When I was 11 my dad became late off and we had to move in with my grandma and grandpa. I quickly learned that they were drug dealers, unnoticed by my parents, and about 5 months later were caught and the blame was put on my parents and they were sent to jail for 5 years. I was 12 by then and that is a lot to take in at that age.. I remember going to my grandma and begging her to bring my parents back...

I was walking in the hallway leading to the kitchen and I saw grandma at the stove cooking lunch. I approached her silently and said "Grandma why did you let my parents get taken away for you and grandpa's crime?" She looked at me with a dark look in her eyes and said "They were in the wrong place at the wrong time, nothing I can do about that sweetie." Then she looked to her food, stirring it. Then I said "But it isn't the right thing to let them suffer for your crime!" She sharply turned to me and yelled "IT'S LIFE, GET OVER IT! THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT! YOUR PARENTS ARE YOUNG AND HAVE PLENTY OF LIFE STILL IN THEM, SO IT'S BETTER THEM IN THERE THAN US!" My eyes widened and started to water even though I was trying so hard to make them stop. That day I learned life isn't as beautiful and fair as I thought, it was ugly and dark...

I became depressed from missing my parents and ended up keeping myself cooped up in my room all day, everyday unless I had school. I also stopped eating regularly and black became my favorite color,  especially in eyeliner. After that year ended I was an anorexic, black eyeliner, emo girl who was in the 9th grade. I started cutting my wrists thinking I deserved the pain for being such a useless piece of shit. I thought I had no hope of becoming normal or happy again. My depression had taken root deep inside me and not even my best of friends could undo it.

When I was 13, I met a girl named Hope. She was a pale brunette with beautiful hair and piercing blue eyes. She just moved to our school and seemed cool but I kept to myself so we didn't talk much. On her 14th birthday she invited me to the park where she was holding her birthday party and I noticed a guy I have never seen before. He had longer, brown hair and kinda looked like Hope. I later learned he was her older brother who was a grade above us named Jake.

During the middle of the year a guy in the grade above me transferred into one of my classes. His name was Jason, he had a punk look to him. He had blond hair, blue/green eyes, and was really hot. He for some reason started talking to me. I wished everyone would leave me alone so I ignored him until he wouldn't leave me the fuck alone. After several months we became friends and stayed like that fr 2 months until he asked me out. I was so happy because I had a huge crush on him. I couldn't believe I was so lucky! Maybe this was my chance of being normal again!

I couldn't be happier dating Jason but I was extremely inexperienced with dating and anything sexual whereas  he had already had sex with his previous girlfriend. During the time I've know Jason I've become addicted to him, using all my free time to text him. Jason and I only dated for 2 weeks because I was not affectionate enough for him whereas he was already kissing my neck. It saddened me deeply but I was to uncomfortable with doing anything back. We luckily stayed as friends. I started to become best friends with Hope because she sat close to my seat on the bus.
