Cooking is both an art and a science. Everything has to be well-organized, but also has to look beautiful.

I have always wanted to be a world-class chef since I was four years old. I had always made my lunches when I was going to school. I started out with peanut butter and pickle sandwiches when I was in kindergarten, but now I'm eating chicken and dumplings for lunch in the seventh grade!

My name is Jacob Maroe. I have made it my goal to become a world renowned chef when I grow up. I felt like I had my life all planned out while I was still twelve years old! Then everything changed when the new kid arrived next door.

Her name was Felicia Cook. She had just moved next door, so my family thought it would be nice to invite the Cooks to the neighborhood. I baked some macrons and we went over. We knocked on the door, and Felicia's mother had answered the door. We handed over the macrons (which I said I had made), and we're instantly invited in. Mrs. Cook had said that she was so happy for her daughter to have someone in the neighborhood that knew to cook as much as she did.

"You should go cook with her! I'm sure you two will get along just fine!" My mother proposed.

"What a splendid idea!" Mrs. Cook exclaimed. I went over to see what the new girl was cooking. The family had already eaten dinner, so Felicia was baking peach cobbler! I asked if she needed any help, and what happened next was completely unexpected.

"Listen here MasterChef junior. I'm the pro cook in this town now," Felicia said just quiet enough so that her parents couldn't overhear. "And if you think you can cook better than me, good luck."

"Well, if it's a fight you want, then it's a fight you'll get," I reply. I then turn to sit in the chair I sat in originally.
