Once In A Blue Moon

We criticize ourselves like a judge would

Calling out any and all imperfections

Never having any faith even if we should

We can never have enough corrections

Depending on music and little hope

Lyrics preaching what no one understood

Trying to find a healthy way to cope

Just wanting not to be misunderstood

Trying to find the light in complete dark

To find a rose in a garden of weeds

Feeling like we are swimming with a shark

To feel like no one listens to our pleads

Someone somewhere will come to save me soon

Hopefully they’ll come once in a blue moon
