Chapter 10

*Kenzie's POV*

I wiped up my tears. I let go of John and sat up. I had to be okay. I didn't have a choice.

Johnny looked at my worriedly.

"I'll be fine. I promise." I gave a weak smile and hugged him.
"Let's go swim!" He yelled way to enthusiastic.
"Let's go!" I yelled.

We both laughed and ran downstairs. Lauren was already out by the pool. Johnny signaled for me to be quiet and he tiptoed across the stone to wear she was laying sun tanning.

He kneeled down and rolled her into the pool.

"Johnny! Urgh!" She yelled.
"Sorry." He shrugged.
"I'm gonna get you!" She screeched as she climbed out of the pool.

He jumped in the pool. Lauren jumped back in and chased him. She eventually caught him and drowned him. He obviously let her but oh well.

"Come on Kenz." Johnny said.
"Yeah." Lauren whined.
"Okay' I said as I walked over to the pool.

I jumped in and we swam for a while. I completely forgot about everything bad. I felt like we were kids again. No worries. Nothing, just laughter.

At Home

I had gotten home and finally checked my phone. There was a Snapchat from Hayden.

I opened it. It was a picture of him with the caption "wyd". I had a plan.

I went through my gallery and found a picture of me and johnny. We were cuddled up on the couch together.

I sent it with the caption, " With John."

After about two minutes he replied with a picture of him with furrowed brows and no captions.

I took a picture and said what.

He replied with a black picture and wrote, "I thought we were kinda a thing."

I replied with, "Yeah I did too. But I mean if you have no feelings for my why would we be?"

He left me on read.

I don't know what tomorrow will be like but I do know that Johnny will be there for me.
