Tell Me A Lie

ChapterFOUR: I'm Sorry...

Liam and I are having the time of our lives at Ana's party. It isn't too long before I notice Maria sitting alone in a corner.

"Maria!" I scream across the room, "Hang on!" I run over to her and stop and help her off the floor. Analeigh comes to join us and sighs.

"He was drunk, ok?" she says, and helps me to help her up. We all walk back into the kitchen, and Liam asks if he should follow or stay behind. We tell him to hang out with Jace for a little while and we ask Maria some questions.

"Maria, what's wrong?" Ana says,and leans against the huge island. Maria sighs, and looks at me for help.

"You just wanna be with Harry don't you?" I ask, and pat her hand when she nods, "Well, when this party dies down, me, you, and Analeigh will all go to my house and hang with the boys. Or, you two can, since I'm not wanted, or really, wanted a little too much. So I'll check multiple things on the laptop and you guys can be with your boyfriends!" I laugh. Analeigh hits my arm.

"I'm not dating anyone!" Ana says, angrily.

"But you wanna be with Zayn, right?" Maria asks.

Ana just kinda looked at her like 1) she was gonna beat the shit out of her, and 2) she was wondering how Maria even knew, because we don't even know her that well.

"First of all," Analeigh says, looking out of the kitchen to make sure no one was around, "How do you know, and second of all, you can't just say stuff like that OUT LOUD!!"

"Sorry, and it's kinda obvious...you guys give each other goo-goo eyes ALLLL the time."

"WHAT? I have GOT to be more careful with this!" Ana screams. She then proceeds to tell Jace that shes leaving and to put all er presents in her closet cuz she'll be at my house. We hop in Liam's car and drive to my house. We all sneak in through the back door and Liam sits in Louis' room while me, Maria, and Analeigh change into hoodies and soffes that I had laying around, my shorts red with Louis' 1D hoodie. All of our boys have said goodnight, and so I stay up with Maria and Ana, planning their relationships out in my mind.

****A MONTH AND A HALF LATER****

Maria, Ana, and I get ready. 

It's when we get downstairs that we're all a little shocked. Eleanor's being let in, followed by Danielle.

"Hi, Liam," she says, and smiles at me, but I can tell she's still pissed. She goes and sits by her ex, or what we all assumed was her ex, and kisses him. We're all just staring and Liam is most DEFINITELY surprised. 

"Hullo, Eleanor," Louis says, in a very calm manner and I'm almost proud, "What are you doing here?"

"I came with Dani," she says, motioning towards a very happy looking Danielle, whom is sitting by a very confused looking Liam, "but I wanted to officially...um..."

"Call it off," Louis finished. I looked down at the floor, and Maria, who had been playing with Harry's curls, and trying to distract him so he wouldn't act like the drunkard that we knew was inside him, came over to me. Ana and Maria led me back into the kitchen.

"Guys," I say, smiling a little, "The last time I was in here with two people, Louis kissed me. Don't you dare try to pull anything!" Maria begins laughing uncontrollably.

"We just wanted to make sure that you're ok with Liam getting back together with Danielle..." Ana says, and Maria stops laughing as fast as Liam can and looks at me, nodding with a straight face.

"I'm fine..." I say, and I'm really telling the truth, "Really. I'm fine, guys."

"Ok...whatever..." Ana says, but I can tell that they both believe me.

That was when Zayn came into the kitchen. Me and Maria make secret head nods and then nod at the door. So Maria, holding the door open, smiles at them quite evilly as I say, "We'll be leaving you two lovers alone now...have fun...BUT NOT TOO MUCH FUN!!!" and we walk back into the living room, me holding mine and Louis' shared canister of sprinkles that we keep stashed away from my step-sisters. I figured he could use them right now.

"Lou..." I say, sitting beside him with Niall on the other side, "want some sprinkles?"

"Thanks," he says, and he's genuinely  smiling at me. Niall looks a little jealous, but I pretend not to notice. When our fingers touch in the canister, we look up at each other just as Ana and Zayn come out of the kitchen. Only difference? His arm is around her.

"CONGRATULATIONS TO THE VERY HAPPY COUPLE!!! WHOOOOO!" Me and Maria yell, and I sling sprinkles at them. Ana smiles and they dance around to "Safe and Sound", which has just come on the music channel. Maria lets Harry dance with Louis, and me and Niall twirl around the living room. I'm actually quite surprised at this, because I didn't know that he was such a good dancer.

As "Chemicals React" starts on the music channel, Niall leans in to kiss my cheek, but I turn at the last second and our lips meet. This is when Louis stops moving and he and Harry stop dancing all together. Harry pulls Maria on the dance floor, but Louis hasn't even moved. He's just looking at us. It's like the world's spinning in slow motion and I'm moving too fast. Louis turns around and runs upstairs, and by now, everyone has stopped and is looking back and forth between me and Louis. I break away from Niall and run after Louis screaming the whole time, "I'M SORRY."
