Lumos | A Harry Potter Literate Roleplay

• Rules •

I'm gunna head straight to the point; these are the rules and things you need to know:

- This is Harry Potter's first year.

- Try to go with the flow. So after creating your character or claiming a cannon, you must then start in Diagon Alley (if your character has any needs there) and then onto Platform 9 3/4. I assume everyone to be role-playing on that chapter.

- You cannot be in two places at once. Start a chain and wait until I declare it ended.

- This is a literate roleplay. If you didnt know, that means you must write detailed paragraphs for every reply unless the moment says otherwise. Describe the setting, your characters thoughts and emotions. Just remember that your character doesn't know what another is thinking unless it's obvious on their face.

- I am drawing a line on OCs that are the siblings of cannon characters. No mains are allowed siblings. Maybe you could be Colin Creevy's cousin. Or Minerva McGonagall's grandniece.

- Be original and realistic. No, not everyone can be parstletongue. No, you can't have abusive parents. I'm drawing a line here, too. It's not to be crossed.

- Limits of four OCs and one cannon per person. For every two girl characters you create, you must make a boy. That includes cannons. (I'll play any cannons that have no player.)

- Be active! If you tell me you're going to be offline for more than a day, that's okay. I'm fine with that. If you disappear for more than three days without notice than I will delete your characters. If your character has been important, than I will take over his/her role.

- The password is 'Alohomora' and you NEED to tag two people. Unless you aren't following any.

- No animagus and patronus thing. I'll determine your animal for you. And for first years I'll determine your house as well.

- I DO NOT ACCEPT TAGS OR POORLY WRITTEN FORMS.

- No swearing unless it's been said in the books. Or you can mention that they swore. Also, when role-playing make out sessions, I don't wanna see the clothes come off. Timeskip it.

- Write in third person. And write as if you're detailing a book.

- Have fun!
