Walking by the fields that I now don't remember,
The grass is green so it's probably summer,
The skies are blue but clouds they bear
The land stretches over and far I stare.

There is love in this world I now see
But I've loved before too they tell me.
I wish I could remember the past.
For now, I don't know how long I'll last.

People around me laugh and cry.
Sometimes I cry too, I don't know why.
I lived alone, it was lonely.
Then they told me I have a family.

The dark turned out to be light.
Life became a fight.
New turned out to be old
As the truth unfolds.

There is love in this world I now see
But I've loved before too they tell me.
I wish I could remember the past.
For now, I don't know how long I'll last.

Hi dear readers,
This is a poem from my previous book. It got a lot of love. It's actually a song that expresses a sentimental part of mine. I wrote it after watching a Korean Movie called Salut d'Amour.(trailer in media☝)

So this poem is in relation to the movie; from the perspective of an Alzheimer's patient, an old man who thought he lived alone but came to know he actually has a family and doesn't remember any of them.

So emotional😭
Anyway, so I hope y'all are doing good. Requests are still open (refer to author's note) and do comment, vote and DM if you have anything to talk about.

Until next time,
Lots of love,
-Staira❤
