Hey guys, a first chapter here we goooooo I hope you like :)) xx T

Eddie's POV
I laid back and stared at my fingers as they moved across the written paper that is supposed to be mailed by tomorrow. I glanced outside the squared window in front of me as I got a good view of my backyard and the neighbors, I heard the familiar yelling as I soon saw Richie.

Yeah, the sarcastic son of a bitch I call my best friend, Richie Tozier. His slightly curly dark chocolate brown hair falling a little on the curve of his sharp cheekbones. What rested on his small nose was a group of freckles and which laid a large pair of hazel glasses that made his brown eyes bigger. It's pretty cute when they scrunch up while he laughs.

He had a couple of pieces of paper in one hand and a pencil in the other. I watched as the young boy laid out a blue blanket before laying on top and started to write on the paper. I watched as his facial features changed every once in a while, his eyebrows would crease down as he would just let his arm which was supporting his chin fall as his face fell into the blanket. Soon returning back in position to look at the paper and do the same thing over again.

I smiled as he kept doing that for the past 5 minutes.

"Eddie dear?"

I snapped out of my train of thought and looked towards the door as I heard my mother calling for me from the living room. I grabbed the folded paper and placed it in the white envelope that was near my desk and made my way downstairs and seen my mother standing in the doorway to the kitchen.

"Honey from what I remember, you said you were gonna go out more this summer?" she asked as she looked through the medicine cabinet. I scratched my arm as I bit my lip nervously.

"Um yeah sure, when is curfew?" I asked as I looked at the clock reading 1:27 pm. She thought about it as curiosity crossed her face.

"6:30 pm—no later than 7 pm alright Eddie Kaspbrak," She said as I agreed.

I ran upstairs and grabbed the black fanny pack that held most of my things and looked at myself in my body size mirror and fixed the collar of my yellow and white striped shirt and ran my hand through my hair as an attempt to do something to it but just fell back to where it started. I groaned as I attempted to pull my knee-high shorts down a little but failed and left them how they were. I looked out the window once again and I see Richie still laying down with papers scattered all around him.

I closed my door and walked downstairs and headed towards the front door, turning the hazel knob as I opened it, a loud creaky noise left in return as I closed it behind me.

The fresh breeze hit me as I took a big breather, the clouds were out as they covered the light blue sky. I headed towards Richie's backyard but on my way, I placed the white envelope in the mailbox, soon I was faced with his long wooden fence. I reached into my fanny pack and pulled out my inhaler and took a puff of the medicine as I held my breath for 10 seconds. Soon after breathing out, I placed the small thing in my fanny pack and I looked at the fence. It's between it and me.

I started jumping and waving my hands in the air attempting to get Richie's attention but I was too short.

"Rich-ie...RICHIE..R-I-C-H-" I was cut off by the fence unlatching and soon a smiling Richie appeared. I waved at him as he just looked at me.

"Whatcha doing?" I asked walking past him. He pulled the fence close and pointed to the piles of paper.

"Summer homework, I insisted doing it before the day school started again but my mom says otherwise," he rolled his eyes and I stood by the blue blanket as he soon returned to his position on his stomach.

"Hey Ed?" he asked as he kept erasing his paper with the end of his wooden pencil. I sat criss-cross next to him and leaned a little to get a better view of the slightly creased papers.

"Wassup?" I asked as he turned a little.

"What the hell is pi," he asked as he turned on his side facing me. I smiled as I remembered the day I learned pi in class. Richie, of course, was asleep.

"Pi always equals 3.14 etc but in math, they usually shorten it so let's stick with 3.14..it says X times pi equals what, when x equals 2?" I asked him and he just looked at me with a bored expression.

"Fine, if you can at least get this answer right we can go get ice cream," I smiled as I seen his eyebrows raise a little and he looked at the question again.

"So if X equals 2 times 3.14..?" I said as he started writing numbers down. He looked up quickly and showed me his calculations.

"6.28?"

I looked at his paper and check and he did get the math right. I nodded and a smile grew on his face making his cheeks pop out more. I giggled as he closed his huge eyes that were hidden behind his huge glasses.

"C'mon just me and you this time," he smiled as we both got up from the floor and headed out the backyard towards the front. We walked and talked about anything and everything.

I saw a kid that went to our school walk pasted us and he looked different. Richie noticed my sudden change in emotions and threw his arm over my shoulder.

"Puberty can change someone so much huh." he laughed as I nodded.

But I felt a weird feeling in the pit of my stomach when I saw the kid.

He was attractive.
