Engaged to my Best Friend (part 1)

Prologue

Note from the author:
Spoken conversation is in double quotes (obviously) and thoughts are in italics.Thats goes for the entire story..
Oh, and for all those who don't know Japanese well...here's a rundown of the words I might use:
Onii-san: big bro
Sensei: teacher
Baka: idiot
San, chan, kun ,sama etc are all simple honorifics generally used while addressing someone.

Hey! Onii-san wait for meeee!!!" I yelled.
"It's not my fault that you're a slowpoke!!"
"But-",I start whining
"Ok fine, c'mere..."
When he said that, I rushed to hug him.

'He' was my best friend in the whole wide world....sorta like my big brother, even if he was only 1 year older than me. Actually we were in the same grade.
How u ask? Well one year onii-san got the flu right before his finals and was unable to pass his exams,so even though he was actually pretty smart(1st in his grade to be exact!), the school decided to hold him back a year. And that's how we ended up in the same grade.

Our families had known each other for generations so we practically knew each other ever since I was born.
Anyways...back to the story....

"Onii-san, I heard you're going to become a musician! You play the guitar really well!!"
"Nah, I'm not that good, you on the other hand....."
"But I can't play the guitar."
"No, I'm talking about your singing, I'm always mesmerized by your voice."
I blushed....
"You look so cute when you get all shy like that!!"
"...you...you're just teasing me aren't you!", I pouted.
"You know,now I can't wait to grow up, someday I'll become a great musician and I'll write you a song!"
"Really?", I asked with excitement.
"Yeah, and I'll make sure that when you hear it you'll make the same face you made just now."
"?" What did he mean?
