"Hey new girl, watch it, stop calling me mean" he replied looking battle ready, "You know its the truth, how else can you describe yourself? You took me to the wrong arm" he let out a wicked smile, which made her regret exchanging words. He had earlier took her to the wrong class, something he learnt from the Senior Prefect. "You see during my time, same thing happened to me, else I should have been in the "A" arm of SS2" he said coming close to her. By now half of the half-filled class had started to stare at both Rita and Eric. "Oh I see, but still doesn't justifies what you did you know, you just drove that pretty girl away" when he heard this he coughed in an un approving manner. " I'll go find her" he said standing on his feet.

She saw same uniform that was given to her 3 days ago for her new school hanged in a rope. She wondered, how possible it was to be in the same Estate with a school mate, who ever it is, will definitely be my friend she thought to herself. As she drooped her binoculars to go dish herself some food when her phone rang, she looked at the screen and sighed deeply "Hello" the thick voice spoke as she picked the call, "yes, how may I help you?" She said already getting angry, "baby you know now" he replied her sounding appealing, "I don't know and stop calling me Baby" she replied with a tone of finality as she hit the red button, "this guy should stop disturbing me o, abi is it by force to love you again?" She said to herself as she dished more food into her plate, smiling with satisfaction as she took the biggest piece of meat in the pot, "mummy will kill me today" she said biting her lower lip.

"Hey babes" he said hugging her from behind, "leave me alone" Ada said as she pushed Eric away. "Common am sorry, I shouldn't have said it" he said looking sorry, "No you can continue being mean" Ada replied, "Even you?" Eric asked looking surprised why is everyone calling him mean? "She told me about it" Ada said now looking at him. He thought about everything and in a mile second he said "ok am sorry, I'll apologise to her" he said stretching his hands for a hug, "go joor" she said pushing his hands. They both left for class.
As he got to the class he met the principal who was about to make an announcement, Mr Udom, the principal had a very funny and laughable stature, he was fat, short and had scattered set of teeth, Eric wondered where they had 'picked' him from. Rumours had it that he was a law school drop out.
"Good day class" Mr Udom said as he started addressing the class
"Good day sir" all but Rita responded,
"As you all know its a new term and you all have to pay your school fees..." He was interrupted by a voice that asked "So soon?" the principal looked at Felix and said "so soon? come here" , "Sir it was not me" Felix pleaded to a semi deaf Principal, Eric was about to stand up and take responsibility for what he said, when Rita pointed at Eric and said "Sir it was Eric not Felix", "Busted" the whole class murmured.
