Paralysed

You are tired, you had a thought week and you really need some sleep, you walk through the dark hallway. You go to the bathroom and grab your toothbrush. You start washing your teeth when suddenly you feel something moving inside your mouth. You spit in the sink and a nest of little spiders is in your mouth, they are itching and there hairy bodies are crawling down my throat. It's hard to breath and a spider gets caught in your throat, you cough and a bunch more spiders fly out. You wash your mouth with water and spit it out but something still itches. 'I guess I'll just have to drink a glass of water then' you say. You drink some water and swallow the couple spiders, it's the only way to get them out of your throat.

You go lay in your bed and close your eyes, it's hard to sleep because of what just happened but you are slowly falling asleep when suddenly... you fall back.
You're vision is black but you feel the falling sensation in your body.

You are panicking and breathing heavily. You don't know when you will stop falling or what will happen.
Will you keep falling forever, will you suddenly stop or will you connect with the ground and splatter into pieces. You are imagining how you'll fall to the ground and how all the blood and guts fly all directions, how your skill gets crushed and your brain gets ripped into pieces.

Suddenly you stop falling and your eyes open. You're breathing really heavily and you're vision is slowly coming back.
Slowly two black figures are appearing out of the blur of your eyes.

You can see a little clearer now, you see two hooded people with a black dress and some kind of mask, it's black with a long black nose. They are holding a wooden stick with a blade on the end. It seems so familiar but you aren't sure where you know it from.

Now you realise, they are dressed like medieval plague doctors. Why do they need you?

They look over at you, they look you in the eyes tie a rope around your head. You are stuck to the table and can't move, the only thing you can do is watch the plague doctors.

There blade is slowly approaching your skin, touching right under your ribs. The blade penetrates your skin and you are screaming in pain. Slowly they are cutting further and further whilst blood is flooding out the deep wound and you're starting to feel really light headed. It's like you're about to pass out but it doesn't happen.

The blade reaches your belly button and the doctors stop cutting. They put there hands in the wound and pull it open, it hurts so much that you vomit all over yourself. You're head is stuck so it's hard to breath without vomit on your own mouth.

You look at the cut and you can see your own intestines. The doctor pulls out a piece of your intestines and cuts it open. Hundreds of little spiders crawl out, all inside your body, eating me alive.

The doctors look at each other and say 'He is the plague bringer'. They loop at you and cut of your fingers, slowly, one by one. Flesh tearing apart, bones snapping, blood flowing.

They slit your wrists and leave, slowly all your blood is leaving, slowly dying, witnessing your slow and very painful death.

You suddenly feel no pain anymore, looking down at yourself, are you dead?

You see your tortured, mutilated body. It's hard to look at but you can't help it.

Is this hell or are you going to heaven?

You lay on the ground and close your eyes, crying and panicking.

You open your eyes and suddenly your in your own bed. It's almost 4am and nothing's here, are you going crazy or was this real?

I have based this story on a rare phenomenon called 'sleep paralyses'. It's a stage in between being awake and dreaming. You are awake but you can't move and start to panic. A lot of times people start to hallucinante about demons or witches or other scary stuff. I luckily haven't experienced it myself but I think it's really interesting and took it as inspiration but added some common fears and gore to have a shock factor and make it a little scarier. It's a horror story so I'm gonna try to make you uncomfortable. It would be boring else, right?
