The whole landscape is an intimate beach.
“Funny,” the Doctor says, “I was thinking about beaches not too long ago.”
You give him a funny look.
“What? It’s been forever since I’ve been to a beach,” he says, with a shrug.
You keep walking down the beach, the Doctor right next to you. The sun is setting and you can hear seagulls squawking away.
“Where are you going?” the Doctor ask.
You hadn’t noticed that he had stopped. You walk back to him, and he lies down in the sand. You merely sit on the ground next to him.
“The TARDIS takes me some wonderful places sometimes,” he says, and sighs. He puts his hands behind his head.
“You set the coordinates,” you say, plainly.
“What?”
“There is no safety protocol 342…if there was; it would have set the automated system.” You look at him.
He doesn’t look at you. ”Coincidence?” he says, scratching the back of his neck.
“YOU TALK TO ME AND TELL ME STUFF I PROBABLY SHOULDN’T HEAR. YOU TEACH ME HOW TO FLY THE TARDIS, THEN SUDDENLY, WE END UP ON A BEACH WITH THE SUN SETTING AND YOU ARE TRYING TO TELL ME THIS IS ALL A BLOODY COINCIDENCE!?” you scream, throwing your hands up in the air out of frustration.
He looks at you now, a little shocked, a little hurt. But there is rage evident on his face.
“YOU THINK I WOULD TELL YOU A LIE JUST SO I COULD GET YOU ALL ALONE ON SOME BEACH LIKE THIS,” he yells, sitting up.
“WELL IT’S NOT LIKE YOU HAVEN’T DONE IT BEFORE!” you shout.
Now he was just plain furious.
“What is that supposed to mean?” he asked.
“Oh, hey, can I talk to you about something slightly inappropriate? Oh, you’re flying the TARDIS wrong, here let me put my hands on your and stand really close until you get it. LIKE I HAVEN’T NOTICED! Didn’t you think for one second that maybe I want to leave someday and have my own life? Maybe I don’t want to fly around space in love with an alien because I know what happened to Rose. AND I’M NOT GOING TO LET THAT HAPPEN TO ME OR YOU!!!” you explode.
