The Unexpected

It was an uneventful day in the castle of lions. All the paladins were in the mess hall when the castle's security system started going off. The ships lights were blinking red. You could hear the sirens' of the ship blare through the speakers. The atmosphere seemed hostile as all the paladins stood up to their feet and looked at each other. "Whats going on?" Allura said as she ran out of the mess hall. Her short white hair quickly bounced against her neck as she rushed to the observatory deck. Naturally, all the paladins followed the princess into the great big room. The lights were still blinking red and it seemed as if the sirens were getting louder.

Allura stopped in the middle of the room. She was met with the face of a robeast.Something was off about the robeast. It looked as if the robeast was built. It was a common fact that a robeast was created by using magic. So why was this one different? "Come on let's get to the lions." Yelled Keith. Keith was wearing a red jacket with a yellow stripe near the top. Underneath his jacket was a gray t-shirt. He had what seemed like black jeans.

Most of the paladins were in their lions. The black lion still hasn't responded to Shiro so Keith had to go and fly the war machine. All five lions were out the castle. They were flying in their usual position toward the robeast. The robeast looked like a serpent. A very fast serpent, it was coming at them so fast. "What should we do Keith," Asked Lance as he tightened his grip on the red lion's lever. The robeast was coming at them like a bullet. "Um. I don't know form Voltron I guess!" Keith carried an unsure look on his face as he shouted out his order.

"Keith! You need to be sure about this." Hunk echoed through his mic. "I'm more than sure. FORM VOLTRON!" Just like that, all the paladins flew their lions upward to form Voltron. The paladins were so focused on forming Voltron they didn't notice the robeast coming toward them. Only Allura saw what was happing but she was too late. The serpent ripped through their transformation. The shiny scales of the serpent ripped through the black lion's stomach. Causing the Altean war machine to spin out of control. "Keith! I'm coming for you, mullet!" Lance was about to put his lion into full speed. But was stopped when he noticed Pidge already heading towards Keith.

Keith lost control over his lion. He was spinning toward a planet, he was too far to see what type of planet but he knew he was heading for one. Pidge was at full speed heading toward Keith when her lions started to lose control. The green paladin was pushed back. It was no other than the serpent. The horrible galra war machine dug his fangs into the back of the green lion. Pidge tried to escape its grasp but it was too late. She was being sent towards Keith, she knew she was going to be sharing his fate. Pidge closed her eyes and prayed. She prayed that she would be able to live to fight another day.
