The Doorway to Hell

I looked up at the millions of tree branches hanging over my head blocking the brightness of the sun. As I continued to hope for just a single ray of sun to come through the trees to banish the darkness that is holding me captive. I looked away as my body began to ache as my breath grew shallow and my heart was ready to jump out of my chest if I pushed any further. You could hear the crunches of the forest floor getting closer.

It didn't matter what happened I had to keep going fighting for the ray of sun to shine down and kiss my face with warmth. I just had to push myself to go faster, farther.

As I pushed myself to go faster then my body can take me. It seemed like the noises coming from behind got closer. I can't look behind no matter what.

As the noises got closer the noses became clearer, easier to make out. The noises coming from the unearthly specimen aren't anything I have heard before. They are noises you can only possibly hear from the darkest part of hell where the devil resides.

Even though the noises sounded like gibberish from the beast of the dead. If you listen closely you could make out words that the beast was saying.

I listen as close as I can to make out what it's saying. Since I was concentrating I started to slow down so the beasts noises grew closer than before.

When I figured out what this beast was saying I sprinted from my spot on the ground. Dirt kicked up and the beast got farther away but not far enough.

Even though I was running faster then over the beast still got closer.

"Nothing is the sound of your heart beat stopping. Screams are the sounds of your bones snapping and cry is the sound of your loves ones losing." He kept repeating this over and over in my head. I have to fight. I can't look back and I have to run.

As the beast noises grew closer and closer. I couldn't help but look back.

As I looked into the eyes of the beast with 3 heads, one body, and rows and rows of teeth. I could see the pits of hell that await my arrival right there shining back. Before I could scream he swallowed me whole and dropped into hell. I regret making a deal with the devil.

"Doctor, we lost him. You have to stop."

"Okay, I'm calling. Time of death 12:27 a.m."

I  wept next to my son that has been in a coma for 6 weeks. At least he's in a better place.
