"As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light of meaning in the darkness of mere being."
-Carl Jung

Bennetta was so excited. Her first day as an intern for the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit. This had been a dream since it was first sparked in her to study behavior. Now it was coming true.

She stepped through the front doors of the FBI building, confident and beaming. She wore an ivory oxford shirt, covered with a tan sweater vest and black performance slacks. This complimented her short light brown hair and horizon blue eyes. She stood at 5' 10" and was a little overweight for that height. She bounced to the elevator and stepped in.

She turned around to punch in the floor she needed and was met with a sharp dressed man in a Frankenstein head mask walking into the elevator. He also had a box of decorations in his right arm. She was taken aback for a single moment before giggling at the sight. It was Halloween after all.

"Floor?" she asked.

"Six, please." came a gruff voice from beneath the mask.

"Same as me." she announced. Then she glanced at Frankenstein with a smile. "If I knew I could dress up for Halloween, I would have." she playfully remarked.

"Oh!" came a higher, but pleasant voice from beneath the mask. He rummaged through his box and pulled out a decorative face mask that resembled a sugar skull. "You can wear this if you want." He offered it to her.

"Sure. Thank you." Netta put the mask on and looked at the man. "How do I look?"

"Delectable." he said, playing off the mask. He pulled his mask up so that Netta could see his real face. He was a handsome man. "I don't believe we've met. I'm Dr. Spencer Reid. I work in the BAU." He stuck out his free hand to shake.

"Bennetta DiCandia. I'm the new intern agent." She took his hand and shook it.

"Oh! You're the new field assessment agent." Dr. Reid exclaimed. "It's very nice to meet you."

"Likewise Dr. Reid."

"Just call me Spencer. Or Reid. Everyone else does."

"You can call me Netta or Ben then." she smiled sweetly. Spencer smiled back. The doors opened on the elevator and Netta took off the mask and handed it back to Spencer, who graciously received it. The two walked through the elevator doors and into the BAU bullpen.

"Hotch's office is over there." Spencer pointed out for Netta.

"Thank you Dr. Reid." she pleasantly smiled. She headed to the office and knocked on the closed door. She opened the door when she heard a 'come in' on the other side. She was met by a very stern older man who looked up from his paperwork when Netta walked in.

"Hi. You must be Bennetta DiCandia." The man stuck out her hand to her.

"Netta, please." Netta answered shaking the man's hand.

"Pleased to meet you. I am SSA Aaron Hotchner. Pretty much everyone calls me Hotch though. Welcome to the BAU."

Netta was about to respond when a new knock came on the door and a cutesy blonde hair woman poked her head in.

"We have a case." she said in a bit of an excitable voice.

"Okay. Thank you, Garcia. Gather everyone in the conference room. We'll be there in a moment." Hotch replied. The blonde woman walked into the office, eyes seemingly trained on Netta. She looked very surprised. Until she stuck out her hand.

"Penelope Garcia, Tech analyst for the BAU."

"Bennetta DiCandia." Netta shook her hand. "But I usually go by Netta or Ben."
