I am looking at a forest,

In the middle of the desert.

It doesn’t belong but I can’t help but jump for joy.

I turn away to yell to the others,

But it’s gone…

My heaven has left. Evaporated. Disappeared.

Gone.

I am looking at my brother,

In the middle of the room.

He doesn’t belong but still I rush to hug him

I try to touch him,

But he’s gone…

My heaven has left. Evaporated. Disappeared.

Gone.

I am looking in the mirror,

I see confidence and beauty.

I know that it is fake, but I can’t help but smile.

I hear the garage door open,

Suddenly I’m gone…

My heaven has left. Evaporated. Disappeared.

Gone.

You stepped into my room,

And I shied away

I know that you won’t leave me be.

I look away and then look back

But you are not gone

There is no heaven.

No matter how many times I turn away,

You will always stay.

When I touch your horrid face,

You do not disappear.

When I look into your eyes and pretend,

That you aren’t real.

Nothing changes, you are here to stay.

There is no heaven.
