~*Brenna's POV*~

"Lizzy I'm going out, tell Fran and Nick when they get back. Pocco needs a walk." I called to my roomie who was in the living room of our house.

I live with my three best friends, Elizabeth who is a year younger than me, 18, and in college, Frannie who is 20 and dropped college, like me, and Nick, her boyfriend, who is 22. Our house is in a high end, fenced community, our house is the smallest on the block, which says something because our house is still giant.

"Ok! See you in a bit!" I heard Liz call back to me.

Leashing my shiba I slipped on my converse and walked into the warm setting sun. Pocco and I walked down the street as we normally did in the early evening, taking in the warm sun and enjoying the pretty houses. I pushed my small frame glasses up my freckle dusted nose and tightened my ponytail.

About half way down the block I heard yelling, not horror movie yelling, more like party yelling. Yeah, party yelling. Each yell was followed by a large splash and a chorus of laughter. Pocco tugged on the leash and I was jerked forward. I stopped him in front of a large cream colored house with a fence. It seemed like the noises were coming from behind the house.

I can't believe I never noticed this house before... come to think of it, something is always happening here.

As I was trying to take in what was happeneing Pocco jerked forward and the leash slipped off my hand.

"POCCO!" I yelped as he wriggled between the fence and the bushes, popping through to the other side and disappeared behind the house. "Pocky!!" I made tongue clicking noises but nothing worked. I heard barking from two dogs, one of them was Pocco.

Dammit, Pocco why are you so social?!

I scanned the driveway, four very expensive cars sat in their glory, but other than that it was empty. Sighing I squished my face between the metal bars of the fence in defeat. My ears perked back up when I heard the yelling stop and murmurs of "Who's dog?" And "I thought we locked the gate?"

"Hello!" I shouted, hoping to get the attention of the people in the back yard. "That's my dog! I'm sorry!" Quickly I pulled my face from the bars as soon as I heard a gate un click, followed by footsteps.

A group of people in their early to late twenties walked out, each was wet and clad in a swim suit.

"H-Hi!" I squeaked awkwardly. A guy with bright blue eyes and messy brown hair was holding Pocco's leash. "Pocco! That my dog." I said, pointing at my goofy dog. "I'm so sorry for all the trouble." I said with a half smile.

"It's no problem! Here." The bright blue eyed boy opened the gate and gave me Pocco back.

As this was happening I tried not to look at his perfectly sculpted body. Nodding in thanks I just kind of awkwardly looked at all of them. In efforts to break the awkward silence I spoke up.

"I'm Brenna! I live down the block! I always wondered who live here!" I laughed awkwardly, fiddling with Pocco's leash.

"I'm Colby."

"Elton."

"Corey."

"Aaron."

"Sam."

"Devyn."

"It's super nice to meet you all! Sorry again about Pocco!" I apologized, and that's when I noticed Elton holding a camera. I think he noticed me noticing it cause he spoke next.

"You don't mind me recording do you?" He asked nicely.

"Oh! Not at all!" I blushed, trying not to stutter. "But I really should be getting Pocco home, it's time for his dinner, it was great to meet you all!" I said waving. I walked away with them saying their goodbyes.

"Stop by any time!" I heard someone call.

~^Colby's POV^~

"Do a back flip!!" Elton shouted at Corey. We all started chanting.

"Back flip! Back flip!" I laughed as Corey launched himself off the platform and into the water, doing a backflip.

We all cheered and went crazy, but our cheers were cut short by Circa barking. Elton pointed the camera towards out side house gate.

"Circa?!" He ran towards his dog and we all followed. When we got to the gate we found another dog on the the other side of the gate barking back.

"Who's dog is that?" Aaron asked, we just looked at one another.

"This is weird, I thought I locked the gate." Elton said. Pushing past my friends I opened the gate and grabbed the leash  of the dog. Devyn crouched down and read its tags.

"Pocco." She read.

As of on cue we all heard someone call the dog. I was pulled forward by the dog and we all walked to the front yard where a freckle-faced, honey-brown haired girl stood. Her face was frozen in shock before she realized I had her dog. Once she apologized for the third time she said goodbye.

She's our neighbor? How did I not noticed- I mean, we not notice her before?

As she walked away we all said goodbye.

"Stop bye any time!" I called after her, waving, even though I knew she wasn't looking.
