So as you saw, this book was published under another name, but I took it down because it just needed major work and a catchy title to actually make people want to read.
I'm sure everyone knows about the Internet sensation that is Batdad, if not, check him out on YouTube, he's great. Anyway, I love Batman, I grew up on comics. Thank you, mom. So when I stumbled upon Batdad, you can imagine how happy I was. My kids are also into comics, superheroes and what not, so I made them watch him too. Family bonding at its finest.
Batdad inspired me though and I grabbed my son's Batman mask and the cape, because let's face it, go big or go home, and I put them on. Batmom was born. I ran around the house with my Batmom voice telling the kids to do their chores or homework. Getting my husband to take out the garbage. Even getting Bat hound (our chihuahua which is comical if you compare her and Titus) to go outside. Now, when regular mom spoke, I was talking to air. When Batmom spoke, everyone listened, even the husband. 😂 Ladies, let me tell you what a blessing this is.
Anyway, back to the main event here. I felt a new sense of power, which isn't always a good thing. Because, just like Batdad, I do have my moments where I will just randomly pop up with the mask, cape and voice to annoy everyone. I've scared my teenager more times than I can count, which is hilarious to me.
But, even without my alter ego, Batmom, life is never boring in this house. So sit back, relax and get comfortable as you read about my adventures in parenting.
Adventures won't be in order, because let's be real, my Bat Calendar got all screwed up the day I got pregnant with my first child.
People in this book: Please note that the names are not real because I do not want stalkers.
