"Chance! I'm serious." I said, standing up from the couch. "And so am I, Dawn. We aren't a thing so I don't know why you're freaking out about this..." Chance said, looking at me, not moving from his seat. "I didn't say we were. I never did." I walked around the couch and leaned on it, thinking. "Listen, Dawn, you're here for business and business only," Chance said, standing up and walking towards me, "don't get that mixed with pleasure." "Me? Getting business and pleasure mixed up? ME?! Really? Wow." I said, going and sitting on the pool table, "You're crazy, Chance. I think you're talking about yourself."
"Ohh, Dawn, baby, no..." Chance said, walking up to me and putting a hand on my cheek. I jerk away quickly and glare at him, "You're a player, Chance Valentine." He clenched his jaw. I could tell. He looked at me, he looked angry. "I'm a what?" He asked, stepping closer to me, any closer and he'll be on top of me.
"You heard me." I said, leaning back a little. The last time Chance and I were in this position was when, well, yeah. "Dawn, you're going to regret saying that." He said, his eyes were dark, now. Anger and... lust. It made me want to know what's happening next. But then what happens next is very unexpected.
Chance leaned in very close. I'm pretty sure he was about to kiss me, but a bunch of loud noises came from the front of the house. We both ran as fast as we could to the front door.
"Jack...?" I said, slumping my shoulders. This just got a lot more interesting.
