Rylen saw Mr. Icy Glare look at her in disbelief but before she could decipher, he had run away to the other part of the field.

It was close to the time being over when Sánchez scored another goal for the team. The score was 2-0. Rylen was happy for they had won the tournament. It was only 1 minute to the end of time.

Suddenly Rylen saw Mr. Icy Glare and Mateo running towards the goal. Torres was blocking them, but Miss Bitch-face and one other was covering her teammates.

Rylen fixated her eyes on the ball. The two players kept passing it between themselves. They were pretty fast doing that because if Torres couldn't defend it, nobody could. Mateo kicked the ball towards the post, and Rylen jumped to divert it successfully, but to her horror, she was late in realizing that Mr. Icy Glare had the ball, and kicked right into the middle of the goal. Rylen half somersaulted and the ball touched her glove, but it was too close and ended up in the net.

Rylen fell down direct on her shoulder the moment the buzzer went out. The Bulls had won, but Rylen failed to complete her aim. Her team rejoiced as she tried to get up, but a sharp pain made her cry out loud and she stumbled.

Rylen thought she would fall on her shoulder again, but a pair of strong arms held her and helped her get up.

"Are you fine?" A deep voice asked her. Rylen looked up immediately recognizing the voice. Warm and concerned chocolate brown eyes met her dull brown ones.

"Something is damaged for sure," She winced to the owner of the voice.

"Valdez?" It was Sánchez. The whole team was looking at Rylen with worry.

"She might have broken a bone," Mr. Now Not So Icy Glare said.

"Shit!" Sánchez cursed and called the physiotherapists and Coach towards her.

"Thankfully the season is over," Rylen tried to joke.

"Shut the fuck up, Ry," It was Juan. "Don't you have any other business to deal with? You must be happy to injure her," Juan snapped at the gorgeous boy.

"Juan, it's fine. Cool down. Enrique and I are friends," Rylen defended him as the physio arrived with the Coach and her father in tow.

In a few moments, Rylen was on a stretcher and was brought to the dressing rooms. The team was asked to stay back while Rylen, and her family along with the doctor were taken to the hospital.

It was a hairline fracture on her left shoulder. Two hours later, her team arrived at the hospital.

"What are you guys doing here?" Rylen asked wincing, the pain was less, but not gone.

"We couldn't celebrate without you. Took the trophy and came here. You are the star, Valdez," Juan said sitting beside her.

"I didn't do everything. Sánchez scored the two goals," Rylen pointed out.

"Bullshit. That goal you saved could have cost the match. You hurt your shoulder then, and this one was on the same arm and the same place," Juan looked at her gravely.

"Fuck you," Rylen grinned at her best friend.

"You were great, Valdez," Sánchez told her. "We all are proud of you, Ry," He ruffled hair making Rylen grin.

The whole team agreed. They all clicked pictures with her. Sánchez kept the trophy beside Rylen's bed saying that she deserved it. Although Rylen smiled and laughed, she was upset with herself. She should have recognized their trick. It was way too common and still, she let the goal happen. She swore the ball hit her glove, but it still went past it. That was one helluva bend!
