KAALINGA NARTHAN:PART 2

165 20 9

All of Vrindavan began to protest
"Please don't", they plead,cried,bade
But Krishna gave a smile and wave,
Into Yamuna, he began to wade!

He knew that, with Kalia's poison,
Yamuna's waters were affected,
But Krishna scaled her depths swiftly
He  swam on,unaffected!

The water grew black as the poison
So Krishna knew, Kalia, he'd soon face
But he simply grinned thinking"Kalia!
Your actions' impact,can you brace?"

Suddenly, Krishna came face to face
With the very Kalia he was seeking
The monster loomed tall over him,
With vile poison he was reeking!

A gem shone on each of his hoods,
A jet black torso, tremendous tail
His eyes were blood-red with malice, Fangs so sharp, to kill they'd never fail!

On seeing Krishna, he trembled with rage
"How dare you boy!", he screamed
That this puny boy would be his death
The monster had never dreamed!

On killing Krishna,he was hell-bent
His tail at Krishna he lashed,
But Kalia failed, Krishna jumped away,
On mammoth rocks his tail he lashed!

This made him more enraged
The anger inside him brewed,
But Krishna simply evaded, laughing
The vile poison he spewed

Now Krishna had had enough fun
"Time to finish him", the Lord decided
He kicked his leg to the riverbed, rose,
Unto Kalia's head he glided!
