Rylen chuckled and walked around with the drink in her hand.

She saw Sánchez and Mérida talking by the patio, they seemed happy sitting hand in hand. She walked towards the balcony, looking at her competitions. There were some girls in short dresses. Like really short dresses and skyscraper heels, they could barely walk in. She walked past them to the balcony. As she reached the balcony she saw a couple making out. It wasn't sweet like Sánchez and Mérida, or like her sister and Juan. They were this close to having sex in front of her eyes.

"Get a room, guys!" She exclaimed in agitation as the couple broke apart. The guy smirked at Rylen who rolled her eyes as the girl gave her a stink eye. "Seriously? It's a formal public event, not your fucking bedroom," She pointed out.

The girl huffed and dragged the guy out who gave Rylen a lusty look as they left.

When they were gone Rylen sighed and sipped her drink when she saw a similar face. He was the same guy whom she had seen at the bookstore. He was sitting just behind the couple watching everything.

How desperate was he?

"Dios mio!" Rylen muttered and turned to leave.

"Wait!" A deep voice said making her stop. She turned to find the guy looking nervously at her.

"You're talking to me?" She asked. His voice was hot. "Not your type, dude. Not desperate. So leave me be," She told him. She did like his voice though.

"I...it's n...not..." The boy stammered, he sighed and looked at Rylen. "It's not what you think. I was just sitting here," he told her.

"They were practically having sex, didn't that bother you?" Rylen challenged.

"They...they seemed busy. I didn't want to be rude," The guy winced at his answer.

"Well next time think about yourself first. Anyway, I gotta go. My team is waiting," She said turned to leave.

"Wait!" He called again and Rylen rolled her eyes.

"Now what?" She asked.

"You play?" He asked.

"I do. Bulls," She told him. "Where's your plus one?" She asked. He didn't look like a player although he looked pretty buffed in that suit.

"I didn't come with one. I play for Eagles," He said holding out his hand.

Rylen raised a brow but shook it. Something passed through her hand, almost like electricity. What the fuck was that?

"Rylen Valdez," She introduced herself.

"Enrique Alvarez," He told her his name. She recognized it immediately.

"Wait, Alvarez as in Christian Alvarez's son?" Rylen asked pulling her hand away from him. His hands were warm, it suddenly felt cold when the summer breeze hit her.

"Umm...yeah. That's my Papa," He said looking down.

"How come I never saw you there?" She asked him.

"Um...I...um spend time in the stock room handling inventory. I...I don't like interacting with customers," He told her with an evident stutter in his words.

"Oh! That's why!" Rylen pointed out. "Anyways, nice meeting you, Alvarez," She said and took a step back, and turned.

"Wait!" He called again.

"Yeah?" Rylen asked.

"Can I accompany you? My teammates are still not here," He explained.

"Sure. Want to meet your competitors?" She asked.
