It was winter in New York. Chilly winds, the dark, tall trees, and a loud siren can be heard across the ocean. A ginger-haired figure can be seen through the crowded customs. Newt Scamander, famed Magizoologist and author of the wizarding world has come to New York City to visit his good friend, Tina Goldstein. Always on his usual attire, blue navy coat on, Hufflepuff scarf wrapped on his neck, and his infamous, leathered suitcase in hand.

Tina was already waiting for him outside of the custom. Not long after that, Newt walked to her direction. Tina ran as fast as she could and hugged him tightly, nearly tumbling them down.

"I missed you so much, Newt!" Tina said, arms wrapped on Newt's neck.

"Me too, but, maybe stop the hugging? I can't breath--" Newt requested. Tina realised that she had probably broken down his ribs, but she's still happy to meet Newt again.

"What took you so long to come here? I've been waiting for you like a year!" Tina said, trying to look angry at him, but somehow failed. She was too excited and happy to get angry.

"A bit busy these days, especially if you're an author." He replied with a smile.

Tina giggled and somewhat amazed with Newt's smile, she loved his signature smile.

"Oh, speaking of authors, I brought your book, as promised." Newt reached his pocket to reveal a red-coloured book, and handed it to Tina. She was astonished by the book, it says "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander", written in gold, embossed letters. She traced the title with her finger and flipped through the pages. She was touched by Newt's work, and her title she made for the book.

"It's the first copy, and I believe that belongs to you." Newt added, trying to hide his shy face.

"You used my title, didn't you?" Tina asked, holding back tears that starts to fall from her eyes.

"Couldn't find the perfect title, so I used yours. Your title is perfect. You don't mind, do you?" he asked.

He thinks my title is perfect?

"No. Not at all. Newt, this is beautiful! Thank you." Tina replied with a gleeful smile.

"No problem, Tina." Newt managed to look her in the eyes. Her gleaming, brown eyes. They both stared at each others eyes, watching every single detail of it. Then, they realised it was getting dark, it was evening already.

"Well, come on. Queenie's also dying to see you." Tina grabbed his arm and they walked to the Goldstein Residence, without magic.

"So, uh--New York seems busier than my last visit, doesn't it?" Newt said, trying to break the silence between them.

"I guess so, seems quite normal to me." Tina replied. The streets were busy and crowded. Even if it's a chilly evening, cars and people can be found on the streets. Loud horns and lots of people made Newt uncomfortable. He hated crowded places.

"I have to admit, Tina. I, sort of--don't take it as an offence. I sort of "hate" New York." He said slowly and quietly, not wanting an argument. But Tina wasn't mad at him, it made her laugh.

"Why is that?" she asked smiling,

"Well," Newt started, "it's a bit different with England. New York is immensely crowded, I hate crowds, I get nervous every time I go to public places. But England isn't that crowded, it's much peaceful there." Newt blushed and hid his face under his thick hair. Tina was smiling at him, this was very funny for her, she couldn't help but smile.

"You'll get used to it."

Newt and Tina had reached the apartment, and when Tina was about to unlock the door, her sister, Queenie, had opened it for them.

Queenie was smiling brightly as she saw both of them. "Newt! You're back! I missed you, and so does Teenie, she's been th--"

"Queenie!" Tina hissed. She definitely didn't want Newt to know that she had grew, fond, of him.

Queenie gave Tina a wink, she just rolled her eyes.

"Come in. I'm making strudel for dinner."

Newt sat on the couch in the small living room of the Goldsteins' apartment. He wasn't feeling quite comfortable. It felt quite awkward for him, to stay for the night with the girls, in his case, of course. But he wasn't really enjoying the New York atmosphere. He missed England, yes, England was quite and less crowded, but he barely had friends there. He missed his friends, especially the witch that he had grow fond of, Tina Goldstein. He promised her to give a copy of his book so he could she her face again, and her sweet, delicate smile.

Tina came over to Newt with a plate of Queenie's sweet-smelling strudel and a fork in hand.

"Everything okay?" She asked Newt quietly, trying not to startle him. She sat down beside him.

"Fine, just fine." Newt lied. This was obvious to Tina that he wasn't feeling comfortable.

"Looks like somebody's feeling a bit twitchy." Tina teased him while eating her strudel.

"I'm perfectly fine, Tina. Promise." he muttered. A small smile was seen on Tina's face.

"Really?" She grinned, "Don't you wanna try some strudel? I bet your starving. Queenie's still working on the main course."

"Ms Goldstein, when I say I'm fine, I'm fine." He repeated, trying to hide his shyness from her.

"Are you sure?" She asked him again, scooping herself strudel.

"Absolutely." He told her. Tina gave him a sly grin.

You can't argue with Tina, it's useless.

Newt sighed, "Okay, maybe a bit of strudel won't hurt."

Tina giggled at Newt's look of surrender. She scooped the strudel from her plate with her fork into Newt's mouth, feeding him like a baby. Newt was surprised by Tina's action, but he didn't refuse. His face lit up.

"This strudel is amazing, Tina!" Newt cheered up.

"See, I told you!" Tina grinned on his expression, his cute smile.

"You don't have to feed me like a baby, I can get my own strudel." Newt protested, but smiled at her.

"Well, dinner is ready." She said, "You look exhausted."

I guess New York isn't bad, if there's Tina.

She was charming to Newt's eyes, even though she looks boring and dull to her other friends, but Newt found her very kind. She's more than an auror to him, but a lovely, close friend.

With their actions lately on the couch, Queenie, at the kitchen, was probably screaming on the inside already.

If only they knew each other's heart and feelings. They will. Soon.

Author's Note: I hope you enjoy my first ever fanfic. It's trashy, I know. Forgive me for any misspellings and wrong grammars. I ain't good at them. I not that good with writing these fanfics, but I hope I can write more in the future. I'm so sorry if the story isn't good enough, especially the ending(looked a bit weird). This idea popped in my head this Monday. I had my English exams, and the whole class were asked to write a story, so I just made a fanfic. That's all for now!
