Saturday

"Jax! Michael! Dad and I are leaving come say bye." My mom yelled up the stairs.
I walked down stairs into the foyer where mom and dad stood. Michael then came down and we helped mom and dad put their luggage in the car.
"Where are you actually going anyway?" Michael asked shutting the trunk.
"We are going to the Bahamas. If you need anything you have our number and the energy numbers on the fridge." Dad said digging in his pockets for his keys.
"You can trust us." I said looking at Michael.
"We know that. Just please be good."
"We will mom."
"Ok then we better get going."
We hugged them good bye and watched them climb into the car. We waited until they turned the corner and then Michael and I went back into the house.
"Oh. Finally. Freedom!" Michael said plopping in the couch.
"Tell me about it."
"What do you want to do?"
"Well since its Saturday let's hang with friends. The limit for the first day of freedom is two."
"Ok. How about Jordan and Max?"
"I don't care their your friends."
"You know they like you."
"Yeah and you know that all your friends only hang out with you because they like me except for Kyle."
He chuckles at my response then starts texting someone. I get on my phone and invite Chris over. Chris is my best friend. We have known we other since third grade when she moved here from Maine.

Jax✌️: hey we have our freedom. U wanna come over?
Chris🤘: Yes. Be over in ten. Bye
Jax✌️: bye.

"Chris is coming."
"Okay. Jordan and Max are coming."
"You guys going anywhere?"
"No. We're playing video games."
We sat there watching tv when a knock came.
"Jax! Chris is here!"
"Chris!"
"Jax!"
"What do you want to do?" I asked as we walked up the stairs.
"Netflix? Shopping?"
"Shopping." I said grabbing my shoes.
"Jefferson?"
"Yeah."
A few minutes later we headed out the door towards Jefferson mall. We walked into the mall and headed towards forever twenty one. We shopped about an hour and a half and it was noon.
"Wanna get some lunch?" Chris asked as we walked out of the store.
"Yeah. Where?"
"Jackson jail?"
"Sure."
(Jacksons jail doesn't exist that I'm aware of. Just something random I made up)
After eating we headed towards the car when Chris stopped dead in her tracks.
"What are you doing?" I asked following her gaze. She was looking Brooklyn, Amanda, Grayson and Adin aka the "popular" gang.
"Don't pay attention to them. Keep walking."
We turned behind a big van and stood there quiet. We heard them talking. Who were they talking about? Wait. Their talking about us. I decided to listen real close.
"Did you see the way she treated me on Friday?" Brooklyn asked her friend Amanda.
"Yeah. It was totally rude." Amanda said and I knew she was rolling her eyes.
"What did she do?" I heard one of the boys say annoyed.
"She freakin rolled her eyes at me and walked away when I was talking to her."
I liked over at Chris and she was rolling her eyes. I peeked around the corner and watched them walk across the parking lot. Just as they were out of sight we got up and walked back the car.
"O my god. They are so annoying." I said putting my head on the steering wheel.
"Agreed." Chris said annoyed.
We left back home to watch some movies and just hang. Walking into the house I saw Michael and his friends at the island in the it the kitchen.
"Hi Michael. Hi boys." Chris said waving while walking towards the stairs.
"Hey Chris."
"Michael you can have a sleep over if you want tonight. You can invite another if you want."
"Thanks sis."
"Yeah. Just keep it down."
"We will."
Chris and I walked up stairs into my room. We turned in Netflix and started watching Billy Madison.

*time skip to later that evening*

"What some pizza?" I ask.
"Sure."
"Let me go ask the boys."
"Boys you wanna go for pizza with us?"
"Yeah." They all said looking at each other.
"Get in the car then."

We headed towards the pizza palace talking and joking. When we arrived Michael nudged my arm.
"What?"
"Over there." He pointed towards a table against the wall and there sat the "popular" gang.
"Oh great." I said getting Chris's attention.
"Wha-" she could barley finish her sentence when she them.
"Jax? Do you want to go or stay?" I hear Michael ask with worry in his voice. He knows how much I hate Brooklyn and her friend Amanda.
"Let's just ignore them and keep walking. We can eat on the other side."
"Ok."
We began walking pass them and I saw Amanda and Brooklyn give us evil glares. We kept walking until we got to our table. We sat down and we were having fun until we saw Brooklyn and Amanda walk towards us.
"Stay calm. Just hope they don't talk to us." I said leaning towards Chris.
As they got closer I saw Brooklyn plaster the fakest smile on her face ever.
"Hi girls. Hi Matt, boys," she said smirking.
"Hi Brooklyn, Amanda." I said returning the fake smile.
"What are you guys up to tonight?" Brooklyn asked glaring at me.
"Just hanging why?" Chris said while I could see anger in her eyes.
"Geez. Just wanted to know," Brooklyn said rolling her eyes.
"Well it was nice saying hi, but we to go," Brooklyn said really sarcastically.
Chris and I both gave her a fake smile and then rolled out eyes while she walked away.
"Guys are you ok?" I heard Michael ask.
I let out a sigh saying, " yeah."
We finished our pizza and actually had a good time. Chris and I focused on  hanging out with Michael and his friends instead of bitch one and two. After we were done we headed out towards the car. On the way there we all passed the "popular group" outside talking standing around their cars. I could tell Brooklyn was giving me dirty looks, but kept walking. When we got in the car we drove off back towards home.
"Good night boys." Chris and I said going up stairs to my room.
"Night."
After getting back to my room Chris and I changed them plopped down on the bed frustrated.
"Why?" I asked.
"Why what?"
"Why do they hate us? What did we ever do?"
"I've been wondering that for ever. She has always hated us."
"I wish we could just get an answer."
"Tell me about it," Chris said yawning.
Yeah. Well we better get some sleep it's pretty late." I said turning out the light.
"Good night dude."
"Night."
I stared up at the ceiling thinking Why? Until sleep took over me.
