I woke up to the sun streaming through the window. I looked around and took in my surroundings. This wasn't my room. It was Nash's.

I slowly tiptoed out of the room to find the clock just struck 12pm. How long did I sleep?

I got down to the living area to find Elizabeth and Nash lounging on the couch.

"Good morning sweetheart" Elizabeth greeted sweetly

I just smiled a weak smile and sat on the sofa with them.

Elizabeth stood up and left the room leaving only Nash and myself.

He picked himself up and came to sit next to me. Not saying a word just intertwining his fingers with mine and gently squeezing my hand. I could still feel his sympathy even without words.

Soon Elizabeth came in holding several blankets and three mugs of hot chocolate. Handing us a mug each and laying the blankets across our laps.

She took a seat next to me and snuggled into her blanket, taking a sip of her drink.

"I called your mom last night, Alaina. She is going to try get back as soon as possible, probably on Wednesday" Elizabeth informed me with a smile.

"Thanks" is all I could say. I was grateful but I had no strength to show it.

We sat together on the sofa watching the television and drinking hot chocolate. But we were interrupted by a knock on the door. Nash offered to answer it leaving my side cold, making me shiver.

I heard mumbling from the hall before Cam barged in. He didn't hesitate to run towards me and wrap me in a hug.

"I'm so sorry, Alaina" he said into my hair

"I had time to prepare. I'm okay" I reassured him. But I was only trying to convince myself. I wasn't okay. I was broken. But Finn wouldn't of wanted me to put my life on hold. And with these people to help me, I could try get back to normality. I will see him again when the sun has burned out.
