hyungwon screamed hopelessly for help. he didn't know how he had ended up in a dark, cold room, unable to move but he did know that he wasn't at the job interview where he was supposed to be.

he'd sat on the freezing stone ground for a few hours, drifting off every now and then out of boredom as well as waking up out of fright, when suddenly a bright light shone through the door to his left and got him completely blinded for a moment. it definitely didn't help his awful headache he had gotten from sitting in complete darkness for so long but he was grateful for some fresh air.

he squinted towards the light and saw a somewhat tall silhouette of a kinda thin guy. it clicked in his head that someone had entered the room and he silently panicked as he pushed himself away from the door until he flopped down on his side where he couldn't move, and tightly closed his eyes.

before the guy could even breathe out he heard a whimper of "please do not hurt me" from a small-looking lanky boy sitting in the corner of the room.

he got so startled by the unexpected sound in the dark room that he almost fell out of the room. "jesus christ."

hyungwon opened his eyes to look at the man leaning out of the room, mumbling something to another person. "there is actually someone in here, i thought you were just imagining."

the man got pushed, stumbling into the room as a taller man joined them in the dark room. from what hyungwon could see he seemed to be pretty handsome and well-built.

the tall one out of them barely sprinted towards him, considering the room wasn't all too big, and doubled over with his hands resting on his knees when reaching hyungwon. "hey, what's up?"

hyungwon could barely see anything but at whoever was speaking to him he widened his eyes incredulously. the shorter guy jogged over as well and looked at him with even more disbelief than hyungwon did. "okay, first thing- you know that this is a stranger right? secondly, did you really just say 'what's up'?"

he started untying the ropes around hyungwon's hands and stood back up. he looked expectantly at the other man as he stared back. "aren't you gonna do anything, hos- wonho?"

the man - wonho - spluttered and quickly turned to hyungwon to help him up.

they got out of the dark room and into a green-ish hallway with a soundingly flickering lamp. they could hear a chat from one of the doors along with an odd rustling noise.

"why don't we just go the way you got in?" hyungwon whispered.

"we're on a roof, sorry."

"excuse me, we're on a what?"

both of them looked at hyungwon questioningly. "what were you actually doing here?"

"most likely getting killed."

the unnamed guy interrupted them by rushing them towards the room and closed the door as quiet as possible. "i heard nearing steps."

hyungwon leaned against the brick wall and slid down sighing. he rubbed his sore wrists and cold hands.

wonho glanced towards hyungwon worriedly. "are you okay?"

"yeah, i'm fine. it's just like, the second time this week."

"what, are you a mafia or something?"

hyungwon snorted. "yeah, sure. i'm hyungwon." he reached his hand out.

wonho took his hand and shook it without hesitation. "i'm wonho. that's changkyun." he pointed to the no-name guy. the one now known as changkyun nodded once towards him.

"we really can't leave through the door you came from?"

"we're being chased and it took us a while to open this door, so no."

"i think they would be knocking if they were still outside, changkyun."

wonho stood up quietly and slowly turned the doorknob to the door with a big green 'EXIT' sign above it. turning around from peeking out the door he had a calm smile on his face. "it's so peaceful out here really."

hyungwon stood up as well and joined him. he waved changkyun over and they managed to escape, taking the fire escape ladders.

as soon as they got at least a few blocks away from the building they stopped running and took a long breath. "thank you so much for rescuing me."

"ah, no worries!"

"we're gonna have to leave now, sorry. stay safe, hyungwon."

"you too."

hyungwon let them walk away without a goodbye and didn't move until they were out of his sight.

"wonho and changkyun..."
