With each headline the story was pretty much the same.
Sensationalized telling tales of demons and monsters.
They gave the names of the victims. The randomness of
the attacks. The papers started to pick up on the patterns
that they only happened during the full moons which fed
into their werewolf, demon and supernatural tales. Any-
thing to sensationalize. To sell the story. To keep the
fear alive in the people of Yucaipa.
Michael and his family were listening to the news and
had read some of the papers. They had to get the babies
back to the hospital before the police were called of
missing babies. Then the Packards and Jacksons knew that
a sit down plan was in need and quick.
Renee sat on the bed in her room. She'd gone to change
clothes and clean up. Knowing it was her parents who
committed all these terrible acts of murder. They have
put themselves and Mitchell's family in danger. The
Packards? All of them. Renee packs a bag. She thinks
if she leaves maybe her parents will care enough to come
looking for her. Love her enough to stop killing and
try to change. Love her enough to look out for their
only child.
GASPS
"I'm not their only child." Renee murmurs into an empty
room. That's what they were talking about more of their
kind. It was in this moment she realized that her father
was mating with some of their victims and creating more
werewolves. They are going to kill everyone. But where
are the other wolves? How come I've never seen them? No
one has! Renee thinks. Renee grabs her bag and leaves.
AT THE HOSPITAL...
Michelle was sitting with Michael. They were holding
their babies and talking with the adults. Michael kisses
Michelle. "So we are in agreement it is the Gardners
who are the killers." "Yes, but how do we stop them and
not hurt Renee? How do we convince them that it's in
their best interest to lay low a while." "I'm scared for
Renee. She and Mitchell are really close. They are soul
mates and both now it. Michelle is their best friend
and their protector, I'm sure the three will be very
close. This could hurt all of them if we have to take
matters into our hands with Renee's parents." Stephen
said. He licks his lips. "Then we have to try. For
Renee and Mitchell's sakes." Michelle spoke softly.
