Soon after Nash came in taking a seat beside me.

"Hey" he said dropping his bag down.

"Hi" I said faintly looking at the freshman's

"What's up?" He asked frowning

"Nothing, it's just I miss being a freshman. We leave school in 3 months Nash. It's scary"

"Yeah, I know. What do you want to do?"

"I'm not sure. I used to want to dance. Go to college and major in dance and then start up my own dance studio but I gave it up to be with Finn. I think it's too late now" I said looking down at the ground.

Nash leaned over and placed his hand under my chin, gently turning my face to face him.

"It's never to late, babe" he said looking into my eyes.

"What do you want to do?" I asked ignoring him.

"I want to act. It's always been my dream" I said smiling to himself

"That would be amazing"

"It would be. And I'm not going to give up until I persue my dream. And you should do the same, Alaina"

"No Nash just leave it, please?" I pleaded

He nodded and kissed me gently.

After detention we headed back to Nash's place. As soon as we stepped inside Skylynn ran towards us and engulfed us in a hug.

"Play horsey with me!" She asked

"Not today Sky. Me and Alaina are going to watch a movie. Ask Hayes" Nash said stroking her head. she nodded and ran off to find Hayes.

Nash lead me by the hand to his bedroom and he put on The Titanic.

We lay on his bed with my head on his chest and his arm around my shoulder. And watched the film cuddled together.

Half way through the film my phone began to ring.
I got up from the bed and took my phone out from my bag which was by the door.

It was Pauline.

"Hello?" I asked

"Alaina. It's Finn. It's not good. I think it's time" she said shakily.

"O-okay I will be there in 5 minutes" I replied stuttering

I hung up the phone. Dropping my hand by my side. Nash looked at me and saw my distraught face. I rushed over to me placing his hands on my shoulders

"What's wrong babe?" He asked worried

"It's Finn. It's time" I looked up at him with tears pricking at my eyes.

He wrapped me in a hug. And I held on tight.

"Whatever happens. I will be there every step of the way" he said softly in to my hair.

I pulled away. Placing my hands on either side if his face and leaned in and kissed him.

"Thank you" I said weakly

"Come on babe lets go" he said placing his hand on my lower back and leading me out the room.

"You don't have to come if you don't want to, Nash"

"I want to. I want to be there for you" he said sincerely looking into my eyes.

I smiled at him. This boy really is amazing.

We got to Finns in a matter of minutes and walked into his bedroom where his mom and auntie sat around his bed.

I took a bean bag from the corner of his room and placed it by his bed for me and Nash to sit.

"Hey Finn" I said

"Hey Alai" he said weakly

He reached out his hand and I took a hold of it never wanting to let go.

"Can I have a minute alone with Alai" he asked

His mom and auntie nodded and left the room silently. I turned and smiled at Nash. I stood up, placed a kiss on my head and followed Pauline out of the room.

"Alai..." Finn began "you see that boy" he said nodding to the door where Nash just walked out of. "Don't let him go. He is the one for you Alai. Once I am gone, you are going to need him. Don't push him away. Keep him. I can tell by the way he looks at you. He loves you Alai. And you love him"

I looked at the floor a tear rolling down my cheek. I really did love Nash.

"When did you get so smart" I said laughing through my tears

He smiled briefly looking at our interlocked hands.

"I'll see you again when the sun has burned out"

"Finn what does that mean?" I pleaded for an answer.

He closed his eyes taking in a deep breath.

" I never knew when I was going to finally be beaten. It could of been any time. So I would always say that just incase I never saw you again. It means I will see you again once your sun has burned out. When you are an old woman, with grey hair and little grand children and you have lived your life the the fullest and will come find me again feeling happy as ever."

I couldn't stop crying. I reached over and hugged him tightly, never wanting to let go.

"And remember Alai, don't give up on your dreams" he whispered as his hand began to loosen it's grip around my shaky palm. As he slowly slipped away. Closing his eyes and finally letting Steve beat him.

I lent my head on his chest and cried silently.

Suddenly I felt hands wrap around my waist and gently pull me up, holding me close to there chest. I cried uncontrollably into their t shirt. I couldn't hear anything. I wasn't aware of anything around me. All I could do was cry. Cry over my dead bestfriend.
