Chapter Two

The Morning of The First Day of School:

       Alec adjusted his black shirt while Jace walked out of their shared bathroom." I kinda missed us sharing this dorm during the summer," Jace smiled slightly.

" That's just because you hate Izzy making food," Alec said, shaking his head.

Jace chuckled." That too. What can I say? She's a horrible chef," Jace shrugged and tapped Alec's back." I'm heading down to the lounge to meet up with Clary."

" The girl you met at the party?" Alec raised an eyebrow.

Jace opened the door." Yep." He closed the door behind himself and Alec let out a small breath to himself.

Alec picked up the small bag he carried his books in. He put it on his shoulder and picked his phone up. He turned off the light and walked out." Alec," Izzy said, jogging down the hall.

He locked the door, looking at her. She slowed with a small smile on her face." I never got to ask you about the party," She told.

" What party?" Alec frowned some and started walking down the stairs.

" The one where you were talking with Magnus Bane," She nudged him some." Do you remember anything from it?"

Alec shook his head." Other than the horrible feeling and headache that came afterward. The only thing I really remember was us doing, shots."

Izzy raised her eyebrows." You don't remember? From what I hear Magnus remembers," She informed.

" Good for him," Alec muttered.

He jogged down the steps with Izzy following behind." You two went to a club. He brought you home in a cab, you were giggling like a toddler," She chuckled.

Alec rolled his eyes and walked towards the auditorium. They found their seats and sat down." I think Magnus likes you," Izzy told.

" Why would you think that?" Alec questioned.

She shrugged." You two are cute together is all. You get that dorky grin on your face when he smiles at you."

The intercoms came on." Will everyone report to the auditorium, please," A voice informed.

Alec noticed Magnus walking down to his seat. A black haired girl in a red dress walked up to him and took his arm." Who's the girl?" Alec asked.

" Where?" Izzy questioned and Alec pointed at her.

They watched as Magnus pulled away from the girl. He said something before walking to his seat." Camille Belcourt. I think they used to go out," Izzy told and Alec nodded once. 

After everyone got into the auditorium, the Head of the school quieted down everyone." Hello everyone, welcome back to school," He smiled some." For the freshman here, if you don't know. We have a school wide game. During the school year, we have four events planned. At the end, we will award the group with the most points. The four groups are Vampire, Werewolf, Warlock, and Shadowhunter. Could I have the leaders come up onto the stage?"

Izzy tapped Alec's arm, smiling. He sat his bag in his seat and walked up onto the stage. Alec stood up on the stage with two others, Maia Roberts, and Raphael Santiago." Sadly our head warlock graduated, so we had the school vote for a new one last year," The Head of the institute told." Would Magnus Bane please join the stage?"

Magnus looked up from playing with one of his rings. He slid the ring back on and stood up while people clapped. Magnus walked up onto the stage and stood next to Raphael. They went through the new freshman who were being separated into the groups. After they were all sorted, the leaders showed the freshman their dorms they were staying in.

  Alec glanced at his clipboard of all the people in his group. Izzy walked up to him." Are you going to go congratulate Magnus on being voted High Warlock of Brooklyn. That's what warlocks are calling him," She smiled.

" I'm busying helping the newcomers," Alec breathed.

" No you're not, you just don't want to talk to him," She told.

Alec shrugged some. He looked at her." If I go congratulate him, will you leave me alone?" Alec sighed some.

" Sure," She nodded.

" What's his room number?" Alec questioned.

She grinned." He got the big room."

" What?" Alec frowned some, tapping his pen on the clipboard.

He knew what she was talking about. He was more interested in how he got the room than everything else right now." You know what I'm talking about. It has the queen sized bed, the small terrace on it," She shook her head." You were supposed to get one but denied it for some crazy reason."

" I know what it is Izzy," Alec rolled his eyes some.

She took the clipboard and pen from his hand. She pushed him some towards the room." Go now," She ordered.

He stumbled forward but caught himself. He took a deep breath and wiped his shirt. He starting walking towards the corridor where Magnus's room was.

As he got closer, He began to feel anxious. What if Magnus was busy talking to someone? Maybe we wasn't even there? Maybe Magnus didn't want to see him. He only wanted to see him at that party.

Alec reached the door and took a small breath. He went to knock but hesitated." Alexander, did you come to congratulate me?" Magnus wondered from behind him.

Alec turned and tried not to turn pinker than the highlights currently in Magnus's hair." Those are new and gorgeous," Alec said instead of answering the question.

Magnus smiled and put a hand through his hair." You think? I preferably wanted blonde but, I let Dot persuade me," Magnus breathed.

Alec felt like he could die right there. Magnus smelt like honeysuckle. Adding the way Magnus smiled when he turned made him want to have a heart attack." I, yeah," Alec stuttered out.

Magnus opened his door." I'll give you a tour," Magnus raised an eyebrow.

I'd love a tour of your body instead, He thought to himself.
Magnus chuckled." You haven't even bought me dinner yet."

Alec stopped dead in his tracks and turned red." Did, I, out loud?"

He gulped. Magnus turned and sat on his bed." It's fine. If we would've had dinner first I'd let in you a heartbeat," Magnus confessed.

He stretched his arms out, pulling his shirt up to show his hips. He laid back while a cat jumped up onto the bed.

This was another reason he was going to die. The freakin way Magnus Bane would tease him.
