How I became Savannah Solo Part 8

Monday & Thursday May 1st & 4th

Brad and I woke up at 10 and had a late breakfast. We ate and then Hope called me.

Me: hey Hope.
Hope: hey Baby Horse, remind me when your graduation is
Me: Thursday May 11th, I also sent my grad invitations to the team
Hope: good, have you worked on your speech?
Me: uh I've thought about it
Hope: uh huh, well has your dad called?
Me: nope
Hope: does he know?
Me: about graduation, yes
Hope: not about Valedictorian?
Me: nope
Hope: well let him know ahead of time okay?
Me: alright, well I have PT bye Hope.
Hope: bye Baby Horse

I hung up with Hope and I went to PT while Brad went to baseball. Parker hooked my shoulder up for 20 and then helped me with exercises. Parker helped me move my arm up to my head and then back down. Then I straightened my elbow as much as I could and then pulled it back in. Once I finished Parker helped me back into my braces and my elbow wouldn't get past 110.

Me: why is this being so hard
Parker: I'm not sure but don't give up it will get better
Me: I know, well thank you Parker
Parker: of course, bye Savannah
Me: bye Parker

I drove home and Lydia made me lunch. I went to my desk to start on my Valedictorian speech. After an hour, all I had was, "Family, Friends, Teachers, Administrators, Class of 2017, we are graduating." Thankfully Kathrine called giving me a break.

Me: Savannah Solo
Kat: hey Savannah, so I have told all of your endorsers about not renewing and they understood.
Me: great thank you
Kat: now Audi said the car is yours, you'll just have to pay for gas
Me: of course. and Nike?
Kat: they said to keep the card and use it for anything you need
Me: alright tell them I appreciate them so much
Kat: of course, bye Savannah

I hung up and facetimed Hope.

Hope: yes, Baby Horse
Me: I'm SOOO BORED!
Hope: ow that's my ear you're yelling in
Me: sorry
Hope: what are you doing?
Me: working on my speech
Hope: what do you have?
Me: Family, Friends, Teachers, Administrators, Class of 2017, we are graduating. And that took me an hour and a half
Hope: well I know you can do it, how was PT?
Me: I didn't make any progress so I'm still at 110
Hope: you'll get there
Me: supposedly, oh I forgot to tell you I am keeping my car and Nike card
Hope: good I'm glad, well go work on your speech
Me: ugh
Hope: bye SB
Me: bye Hope

I hung up with Hope and then went back to my speech. "Wow can you believe it? Four years ago, we stepped into West Point as freshman, the low men on the totem pole. Now four years later we ate leaving the school behind to a whole new class, most of whom are just as small and nervous as we were." That took me about two hours and then Brad came back. We ate dinner together and then both showered before putting on a tv show. We talked for a while and then went to bed.

THURSDAY

            

I woke up at 9 and went to the kitchen to eat breakfast.

Lydia: Brad came by and dropped off your gown and other graduation stuff
Me: oh okay, did he say where he was going?
Lydia: yeah, he was going back to his house to work on his speech.
Me: alright thanks, oh also will you make a to go lunch for two? I'm going up to the school to eat with Jayme
Lydia: of course,
Me: thank you

I finished eating and then went to get dressed. I worked on my speech until Lydia told me she had lunch ready. I grabbed the food and went to the school. I walked in and went to Jayme's room.

Jayme: Savannah how has all of your free time been?
Me: boring, I can't do anything
Jayme: yeah I didn't think about that, have you worked on your speech?
Me: I'm about halfway done
Jayme: well if you need someone to proofread let me know
Me: I will
Jayme: good, now I'm starving

Jayme and I ate and talked some more. We finished eating and then I had to go to PT. I said goodbye to Jayme and drove over to PT. Parker hooked me up and then I did my exercises. Parker was able to set my brace at 112

Parker: I am very pleased with your shoulder
Me: how far am I from being cleared?
Parker: a little over a month
Me: ugh
Parker: I know, well do you have an appointment tomorrow?
Me: yes I do, thank you Parker see ya Monday
Parker: bye Savannah see ya

I drove home and then called my dad.

Dad: hey Squirt
Me: hey Daddy
Dad: what's up?
Me: are you still coming to graduation on the 11th?
Dad: I'm planning on it but I'm headed for Pakistan tomorrow and I'm not sure what I'm headed into
Me: oh, alright well let me know
Dad: of course, well I have to go, bye Squirt
Me: bye Daddy

I hung up and then worked on my speech for a bit. Brad came home from baseball and showered before working on his speech. We helped each other and then ate dinner.

Brad: have you talked to your dad?
Me: yeah, I did today. He said he was planning on coming but he's flying to Pakistan tomorrow and couldn't make any promises.
Brad: he'll be there
Me: I hope so

I cuddled into Brad and he had picked a random movie that I didn't like so I fell asleep. Brad finished the movie and then carried me to bed and fell asleep himself.
