Spare Change

(Y/N) POV

  Sunlight warms the chilly morning air, colorful leaves drifting lightly through the soft breeze as I walk through the unforgiving streets of Shiganshina. I sigh quietly holding out a small can I found by the trash, looking around I hover near people as they pass by asking for anything not even receiving any clue that I actually exist most of the time. My stomach growls in hunger but I ignore it, I stop by a fairly short man with midnight black hair styled in a undercut. "excuse me sir but if you could just-" I stop as he turns to look at me with a bored expression on his face, his silver blue gaze swirling with annoyance. He looks away from me and starts walking away, I sigh and turn and start walking away. "turned down like always." I mutter quietly to myself. 

The man turns his head glancing back at you as you shiver hugging your arms close to yourself still holding the can out and asking passerby's for money or food. He sighs then turns around and walks back over to you and taps your shoulder lightly with one finger not wanting to get his whole hand dirty. "huh?" I turn around and see the man that just turned me down, he drops a little money into my can then turns and starts walking away again. My face lights up in a weak smile "Thank you so much!" He pauses for a moment looking back at you "Tch." He adjusts his long black coat then keeps walking. I look back into my can and smile widely "today must be a good day!" I start jogging excitedly to a nearby corner store slowing down quickly due to lack of energy then walk inside. I use the money he gave me to buy a little bag of chips and a water then walk back outside.

I should have asked what his name was so I could thank him properly. I sigh a little then walk down the alley I've been sleeping in and sit down by my cardboard sign that reads "Spare change?" setting my can down in-front of it. I open the water and quickly drink all of it after eating all the chips from the small bag. My stomach growls for more but receives nothing else, I bring my knees up to my chest and hug my legs resting my head back on the cold stone wall and drift off into a troubled sleep.

Levi's POV

filthy. I wipe my finger with a hand wipe from my pocket, my nose wrinkled in disgust at the smudge of dirt left on my finger from the girl. "I still don't know why I did that." I mutter quietly as I weave my way through people on my way to work at Titan industry. I sigh quietly walking up to the tall sleek building opening the door and walking inside to be greeted by Hanji, the secretary. "oooo Levi is never late for work, did you finally get a girlfriend and just had to stay a little longer with her?" she says in her usual mocking tone. "Shut up shitty glasses, if you must know there were a lot of people walking around today and I stopped to give some homeless girl a little money." I state in a bored and slightly annoyed tone. "Levi?! being nice to a stranger?!" she cackles following me to the elevator. I roll my eyes and walk into the elevator and press the button for my floor then turn looking at her "watch your mouth four eyes, i'm still the boss around here." I shove her back as the door starts closing so she doesn't follow me to my office. "yeah right you'd never fire me!!" I sigh heavily and pinch the bridge of my nose in annoyance as I ride the elevator up to my office.

This is going to be a long day.. The door opens on the elevator revealing a tall blonde man with icy blue eyes looking down at me "Good morning Mr. Ackerman." he smiles brightly. "Morning Erwin." I say in my usual monotone voice in response and walk past him and walk down the hall to my office and he walks into the elevator taking my place. I open and close my office door behind me with a sigh then make myself a cup of my favorite black tea, steam curling off the top of the dark liquid then sit down at my desk and begin working.

Wow first chapter! This is my first story so sorry for any grammar or spelling mistakes and that this chapter is kinda short.
