Chapter 14

Erica sat at the coffee table in the living room looking at the letter Jacob sent her debating if she should tead it or not. She didn't want a bullshit apology but knowing Jacob that exactly what she was going to get. and picked up the letter Jacob sent me. I was going to read it yesterday but Zi and this baby had me so tired. I opened the envelope and a piece of paper fell out and went under the sofa. I bent down to pick it up but couldn't reach it due to my stomach.

I sighed and got up . I'll get Zi to get for me when she gets home from school. I picked back up the envelope and pulled the letter out.

Dear Erica,

I just want to apologize for hurting and disrespecting you from lying to you about the drink to asking you if the baby is mines.

It was never my intention to lie to you about my drinking, I just saw how proud and happy you were that I quit and I didn't want to disappoint you.

I know its no excuse but it ment alot to me that you were proud of me 'cause I never had some feel that way about me before and when you told me you love me I was like theres no way I can tell you about my drinking now.

I never wanted to hurt you or offend you when I asked if the baby is mines I just wanted to know if it is. I know the way I asked you wasn't the best way and I apologise for that.

I know I'm probably not your favorite person in the world right now but I would really like to sit down and talk to you about what we gonna do to prepare for this baby.

So can you please come visit me?

I placed the letter back down on the coffee table. It wasn't a long ass soppy apology like I expected to be but hey Thats Jacob, he not the best at getting his emotions out.

I grabbed my bag and keys off the coffee table before locking up the place and going to pick up Zi from school.

"hey babygirl" I kissed her cheek.

"hello miss erica" she smiled.

"how was school" I asked as I buckled her in.

"it was good I draw for daddy"

"really, you gotta show me when we get home" she nodded and stuck her pacifier in her mouth. I got in the car and drove home.

I gave Zi some chips and left her to color in the living room while I went into the kitchen to make dinner.

I heard a loud crash then Zi saying "uh-oh" I rushed into the room to see what was going on.

"what happened Zi?" she pointed to the turned over pencil case.

"pick them up and put them back into the pencil case" she got down  on her hands and knees.

"make sure there aren't any under the sofa" I told her as I went back into the kitchen to finish preparing the food.

"Babe I'm home " I heard that oh so fimilar voice shout as the front foor shut. I squeeled then ran into the living room.

"baabe!" I attacked her kissing all over her face.

"I missed your bummy ass" we laughed as we broke the hug.

"mommy what is this" Zi asked as she handed me a paper.

"where'd you get this" she pointed to the sofa

"omg gosh" I covered my mouth.

"Zi go wash your hands for dinner" I told her so I could avoid answering her question.
