Prologue
In the 2000's, scientists claimed that the sun would grow until it became super giant, which would be in approximately 4.5 billion years, and consume all life on earth. They claimed that the heat would be too much to take and all living things would die. They claimed there was no way the Earth would ever survive the heating with its close proximity to the sun.
It is the year 204 After Heating.
The sun did heat up, but not enough to kill all of us, and much later than scientists predicted. Few of us survived the scorched Earth and though the previous way of life, including governments, societies, and technology, is gone, we are not.
With our limited technology, no one can explain the reason the sun stopped heating up, or if it didn't and it will soon wipe out our planet completely. It has been many generations since the era of the scientists, and their knowledge on the time line of space is long gone. Mankind has restarted on this broken planet and the only thing to remind us of the existence of others before us are the stars.
Though the scientists were wrong about many things, they did calculate one thing correctly: The collision between The Andromeda and Milky Way Galaxies. It is said billions of years ago the night sky was black due to the city lights blocking out the light of the stars. When the sun heated up, electricity was of no use for the sun had fried everything and thus, the lights went out. Amidst the chaos that was going on Earth, the night began to glow with millions of stars, galaxies, and planets. At this time, the Andromeda Galaxy consumed most of the night sky, along with an arm of our own. Then, a couple hundred years ago, the two galaxies touched for the first time and the sky transformed to what it is today.
The alignment of stars and constellations are nothing like they used to be. In fact, many of the past constellations don't exist anymore. Their stars have merged with other stars, changing the shape and size of the constellations so much that they had to be renamed, for their name no longer resembled their shape. Even though the stars remind us of the world that came before us, it also reminds us that we are the survivors and that world is nothing like our own. They lost everything and we were left with the task of starting over to become better, stronger, more advanced, and above all, eco-friendly.
The people in the past ruined the Earth. They took resources and they never gave them back. They polluted and trashed the planet. Because of this, they had to be eliminated, and the sun did what should have been done. It gave Earth a reset button. It is now our job to take care of the Planet. The sun not only restarted human life, but animal and plant life as well. The Earth was scorched to the point of no living animals or plants. Everything became the desert. Oceans evaporated. But when the heating stopped, there must have been some surviving seeds and animals. There must have, because how else could you explain the horses we ride on? Or the fish we eat? Or the grass we walk on? And the atmosphere must not have been completely damaged, as it still rains, though thunderstorms are said to be much more severe than before the heating.
Somehow, we have survived and started over. We have been given another chance. We will not waste it on the petty or the weak.

I have to add a disclaimer: this story is NOT sci-fi. The only scifi chapter I have is this one and it's to set up the story. Also, I will have alot of mistakes because i'm currently using word pad instead of word document D: so if you could point any mistakes out to me then please do!
