I wasn't crying! (Spot request)

Day's POV
I was just sitting on the edge of the Brooklyn bridge bored out of my mind as I was waiting for my boyfriend Spot to return from selling his papes. I have been dating Spot for 2 years now after I met him at the strike (thanks to my brother Jack). I suddenly got an idea to cure my boredom. I laughed silently to myself as I made my way to Manhattan.

•Time Skip•

I walked into the Manhattan Newsboys lodge to be greeted by my brother Jack.

"Hey Jack" I said as I smiled at him
"Hey sista" He replied back
"Hey could you go get Mush and Race please?" I asked him
"Sure" he replied as he walked away to find the two boys

A few minutes later came back with Mush and Race
"What is it I gotta poker game I gotta finish" Race said with an annoyed look on his face
"How would you like to pull a prank on Spot?" I asked with a goofy grin on my face
With my words Racetrack face changed from a annoyed look to a mischievous grin
"Of course" Mush and Race both answered
"Whatcha got?" Jack asked me with a pleasant look on his face.
"Okay so how about I pretend to be dead when Spot comes back to the lodging house" I said with a smile waiting for the boys' reaction
All of their happy and mischievous grins turned into frowns at my words
"Don't you think thats going to far?" Mush asked
"Yeah not even I would do that to Spot" Jack said to me with a frown
"I'll help" Race said the frown disappearing from his face
"Yeah i've got nothin else to do" Mush replied
"Great" I said with a smile

•Time skip•
It was an hour later and Mush had stolen a bottle of ketchup from a restaurant to act as "blood" and Jack had stalled Spot so I could be ready in time

•Another Time skip•

Spot's POV
I was walking home from sellin' my papes and walked into the Lodging house. I looked around and noticed Day laying on the guest bed with blood all over her. Tears fill my eyes as I rush over to her I knelt down infront of her bed and shook her lightly
"Cmon Day you're okay cmon" I say as I feel more tears start to fall.
"Got you!" She yells as she sits up on her.
I jump a little in surprise and quickly wipe my eyes so that she doesn't see
"Were you crying?" She asks as her face expression turns from laughing to concern
"I wasn't crying!" I say a bit loudly as a cross my arms and look away from her
"Oh Spot i'm so sorry I was just so bored today and I just wanted to see your reaction" she says as she hugs me tightly
"Its alright I forgive you just don't tell any of the guys I was crying okay?" I say with seriousness in my voice
"Okay I promise" she says as she giggles a little and kisses me on the cheek.
