I thought I heard footsteps , but I shrugged it off. Everyone in the house was asleep, besides me. I walked to the kitchen and smiled, seeing ingredients out on the counter. I was going to be a nice big sister and make a cake for my little brother's birthday. I switched on the lowest light and began my work. Music quietly played from my laptop as I worked. I continuously adjusted my bandana on top of my head, keeping it and my hair from falling into my eyes.

I stopped working when I heard the floorboards creak. I quickly reached out and grabbed one of the meat carving knives and crept closer to where I heard the sound. I kept the music playing to try and quiet my footsteps a little. Muffled noises came from my parents' and little brother's room. I opened the door to my parent room first, allowing me to see a sliver into the room. There was a tall man, standing over my parents.  My mom's arm hung limply off the side of the bed, a dark liquid dripping from her fingertips. The man shoved something into my father's body, a gurgling noise escaping my father. The man pulled the thing out , blood dripping off of it. I held back a scream that was about to escape my throat when I heard a loud noise coming from my brother's room. I quietly shut the door, tears streaming down my face, and tiptoed over to my brother's door. I opened it a crack to see a teenage boy, wielding two hatchets, drop to his knees and let out a happy sigh. The remains of my little brother lay everywhere throughout the room.

  "No." I whispered.

The boy didn't hear as I opened the door the rest of the way, walking up behind him. I held up the knife and he turned around right as I slashed it across his face.

"Ow." he said, holding a hand up to his face.

  He started to laugh.

" You bastard. You murdered my little brother. " I screamed as I ran at him.

He held up his hatchets, ready to strike when his eyes looked above me. He lowered his hatchets and smirked.  I was close enough to stab him when tentacle like objects wrapped around my wrists. I was yanked back and suspended in air, looking into the face of the man in my parents bedroom but, he didn't have a face. I growled and headbutted him. His head launched back, but his grip on me tightened. I squeaked out in pain, my grip on the knife loosening.

He brought his face up close to mine. I stared at him, flinching slightly as his grip tightened. This time, I dropped the knife. The blade grazed my skin, just enough to draw blood. I felt the hot sticky liquid roll down my skin , onto the tentacle , and down my arm. I heard hatchet boy come up behind me.

"We gonna keep her?" he asked.

The tall man nodded his head and set me down. I felt a tingling sensation on my wrist before he let go. I looked at my wrist to see a circle with and X through it. I thought it looked cool but my vision went black after looking at it.

I woke up tied to a chair. I tried to move my arm , but they were tied behind me. I saw movement from the corner of my eye and turned my head. I heard the soft sound of voices resonating around me. I closed my eyes, and focused on the voices. They were coming from my left, as if in the corner of the room. I leaned my head back and began to laugh.

"Come on out, you sons of bitches." I said, lifting my head.

My eyes were still closed, focusing on the sound of footsteps. The closer they got, the faster my heart beat. They stopped a few inches from the chair. My head was yanked back by a person who grabbed a fistful of my hair. My eyes flashed open to see the teenage boy from earlier.

  "S- she's awake." he said.

I started to yank my arms, trying to free them from the rope. The boy came up in front of me and punched me in the stomach, knocking all the air from  my lungs.

"S- Stop it." he growled into my ear.

"Your not so scary with you stutter there, honey." I spat.

"W- why I otta - " but he was stopped when somebody came up behind him.

The man placed his hand on the teenager's shoulder. The boy tch-ed and walked out of the light, still residing in the room. I got a better look at the guy when he got closer to me. He had beautiful green eyes and stitches that made a makeshift smile. He was actually smiling though.

"Hi. My name is Liu. What's yours?" he asked.

  "Carrie."

"Sorry about Toby, over there. He just didn't get to kill you, so he's been in a bad mood."

" Where am I."

" Even I don't know. You might have to ask him." Liu pointed into the darkness. The tall man from before came out into the light, followed by a few other, abnormally tall men. A few actually had mouths.

"Hello, child. I am Splendorman. The one in the suit is Slenderman, the one with the amazing fashion sense is Trenderman, and the one with the trench coat and hat is... the Sexual Offender."

" Pleasure. Now would you be able to let me go . Or at least tell me why the hell I'm here, and where ever the hell here is." I said.

"Oh, a foul mouthed one, aren't we?" Splendorman said.

  "Like a sailor." I replied.

Liu and Toby chuckled at my last remark. So did the Sexual Offender.

"Well, you, my dear girl, have become another... proxy or so to say. You, get to help kill. Isn't that exciting!"

"No! It really isn't! I just want to go home and ..." I didn't finish my sentence, remembering that my family was dead.

I lowered my head. My eyes began to burn and all of my anger began to pile up.

"You son of a bitch! You killed my family! The only people on the whole god damn planet that I actually cared about! All dead!" I screamed and began to yank hard at my bindings, making the chair move with each jerk.

Everyone in the room stared at me and let me get most of my pent up anger out. When I was finished, I bowed my head and began to weep. Each hitch of my breath hurt. I heard footsteps walk over to me as I cried. A hand was set on my back, rubbing back and forth.

"Shhhh. It's alright. You'll be fine." a calm voice whispered.

"I- I need to stab something. Multiple times. " I growled.

"That's more like it." a voice said.

This voice was deep and monotone. I kept my head to my chest at my bindings were undone. I whipped my hands out in front of me and rubbed my bleeding wrists. I stood up and stretched my legs. Liu walked up to me and held out his hand. I grasped it and shook. He smiled at me, and I smiled back.
