*Alinoria's POV*

It was 3rd period already and I was still worrying about Vic. He wasn't talking to me. The bell rang and we were off to history. The rest of the morning went by excruciatingly slowly.

It was finally lunchtime, I had gotten my food when I saw Vic sitting alone. I went over and sat by him. He looked up from his phone and smiled at me.

"Why aren't you talking to me?" I had to know why.

"I'm sorry," Vic said. "I'm just focused on some other things at the moment." Once he was done talking, he looked back at his phone. I just nodded and looked at my food. Then, Vic spoke again. "Do you think maybe you could help me with the math homework?"

"Yeah, of course," I responded. How could I reject? I finally had a chance to hang out with another person, even if it was just doing calculus homework. "Why don't you come over today after school?"

Vic sat there for awhile before answering my question. "Umm... yeah, sure, that's fine I guess." He mumbled, then looked back down at his phone.

"Ok, cool, I guess I'll see you after lunch then." I said as I picked up my tray of untouched cafeteria food. After lunch it was 7th period, Vic and I had art.

The last bell of the day ran and I grabbed Vic from the back of the classroom. I smiled at him as we walked out the doors of this hell. Most of the walk home we were silent. Until I, of course, had to break it. "So, why did you decide to go to a charter school?" I asked.

"Well, I wanted a better education, and I heard that this was one of the best in San Diego. " Vic told me.

"Cool," I said. "What do you like to do for fun?" I felt like I was being annoying, but I wanted to get to know Vic better.

"I like to write music and play with my band." He said. Vic was in a band? Wow, could he be anymore amazing?

"That's awesome, you should play for me sometime. It'd be really cool." I exclaimed in a really excited tone. Vic smiled at me then nodded eagerly.  We finally reached my house, enough with the awkward questions.

*VIC'S POV*

When we got to Alinoria's house she led me staright to her room. I liked talking to her. She wants my band to play for her. That made me really happy,  knowing that someone wants to hear my music for once. We entered Alinoria's room and she dropped her stuff down next to her bed.

"Go ahead and sit and get your stuff ready, I'll go get snacks, want anything in particular?" Alinoria said in a nice tone. I was kinda hungry, I was craving some pizza.

"How about I just order us some pizza? I'm not really hungry for anything else right now." Her smile slowly faded. I was confused on why she didn't want any pizza. Alinoria could probably tell that I was cofused, so she finally spoke up.

"I'm vegan, so I can't eat pizza." She said quietly. Then she looked down at the floor. Her smile suddenly appeared again and she said enthusiastically, "Well maybe I could cheat it just once. I mean I haven't have pizza in nearly 5 years."

"Ok," I said shrugging. The nearest pizza place was on speed dial, I ordered so much pizza at band practices yet that was the only thing I wanted to eat right now. When I was done ordering a larger pepperoni pizza, Alinoria was gone. She walked back in moments later with a tray of vegetables and fruits.

"Ok, lets get started, shall we?" Alinoria said smiling. I nodded and we started our calculus homework.

Hours had already passed by and we only had 8 more questions left to answer. I groaned loudky and Alinoria looked up from her paper.

"Lets take a break," she said. She stood up and put a cd into the stereo player. Music started playing and I recognized it instantly. It was Nirvana. I had no idea that Alinoria like Nirvana. She turned around and saw me smiling. Then she smiled back, but she also looked confused.

"I love Nirvana," I explained. Alinoria nodded as she started to clean up our mess. She threw the pizza box away and took the dishes to the kitchen.

When she came back she layed down on the floor, flat on her back. She didn't look very good.

"Alinoria, are you feeling alright?" I asked concerned.

"No, I feel reallu nauseous, I think it was the pizza." Then, she suddenly jumped up and ran to the bathroom. I could hear her throwing up and I felt bad for giving her pizza. Alinoria came back in the room looking worse than before.

"Maybe you should leave, tomorrow is Saturday, we can just finish our homework tomorrow when I'm feeling better." She said. I nodded as I put my stuff away in my backpack. Alinoria walked me to the front door. As I was walking across the street I turned around to see Alinoria standing in the doorway. I smiled and waved before turning back around, going home.
