Riker's POV
I was watching her walk away. Suddenly Baby nudged me. I turned around. "What?" I asked. It's like she was looking at me with a smirk. "Oh shut up." I scoffed. I looked back to Tate. "She's to much of a city girl." I sighed. She rested her head against my chest. "You're all I need right now anyway." I smiled jokingly. She nayed bobbing her head.
But she'd be nice to have...
Tate's POV
He is so attractive. And sweet.
I had been in the living room thinking while mom and Stormie talked. They asked me an occasional question. I couldn't quit thinking about him. Suddenly the screen door slammed. "Momma, Daddy!" he called. Stormie got up and did Mark. The door is around the corner so I couldn't see him. "Riker what happened?" Stormie asked concerned "That son of a bitch tried to shoot me when I was on Baby." he said clearly pissed. "We banned him. Why is he here?" Stormie asked. I peaked around the corner. Riker was still shirtless with dirt on him with small cuts on his face and arms. "I don-" Riker stopped. He looked at me. "Come here." he said, his eyebrows still together, mad. My eyes widened. He sighed and walked to me. "Do you know a Rick Taylor?" he asked. My stomach sank. I threw my hand over my mouth. Tears filled my eyes. His angered face turned to concerned. "M-mom." I said. "Honey calm down. My dad and mom came behind me. "No. I'm going home." I ran up the stairs. "Tate wait." Riker steped out of his boots and ran after me. I went to my room. I covered my face and broke. I felt his arms around me. I caved and wrapped my arms around his still bare torso. I cried into his chest. "What happened?" he whispered. "H-He raped me when I was younger." I whispered. He picked me up and set me on the bed. He knelt down in front of me. "Look at me." he said. I did. "He'll have to get through me to ever even look at you." he said serious but in a low close to whisper. "He. Will never. Ever hurt you again." he said. "Thank you." I whispered through my tears. "You don't have to thank me." he half smiled. "No I do. I thought this was gunna be terrible. But you...even on the second day may change that." I giggled wiping my face. He smiled. "I wanna tell you something. I'm trying to hit on you. But I want you to know." he said. I nodded for him to continue. "You are beautiful when you cry. Even when you're afraid." he spoke soft and relaxing with his head tilted. I blushed smiling. "And every time I talk to you, you blush. It's so cute because I thought you where gunna be this stuck up rich city girl. But there is so much more to you." he said with a grin. "I'm not what most people think. I think I'm nice but the business my dads in so many people are fake and I couldn't be nice." I said. "I'd like to see this nice girl." he winked. I put my arms around him. He hugged me to. I loved his heart beat. "Can I ask a favor?" I asked "Anything." he said. "Would you mind taking the day off today?" I asked. He smiled. "Not at all." he looked in ny eyes. I don't know why but 'I love you' was at the tip of my tongue. But I didn't say it. "What do you say, I go take a quick shower and we watch a movie." he said. "I'd love that." I smiled.
We did just that.
I love his smell. He smelled handsome. I got butterflies.
Riker's POV
I laid on my back and she laid on the inside of the bed against the wall, my arms around her. She was okay with me not wearing a shirt. She intertwined her legs with mine. We actually held hands. We weren't really watching the movie we were just enjoying each others company. I felt like she was mine. I really wouldn't mind if she was. 'I love you' was almost aching at my lips. I don't know why. She fell asleep. Her stedy breathing signed she was comfortable. She's comfortable with me. Echoed through my mind making me smile. I soon fell asleep as well.
