The following message is being released by the United States Government. All citizens please listen closely...     A rampaging virus has been spreading around the eastern coast of the country. We ask that all citizens stay indoors and have absolutly no contact with other people. Stock enough food and water for up to three weeks. We have no evidence of the virus being airborne, but it is proven to be passed through touch and blood interaction. This virus has been reported to mutate people into unidentified rode creatures. Following details will be presented momentarily.

Sawyer turned his radio off. "They just don't understand do they, storm?" Sawyer asked, looking back at his dog in the back seat of his car. The dog was a pure white husky with bright blue eyes. "The people are gonna be scared, and worried. They are gonna panic. They won't do what the government wants. They may as well just go save themselves and quit worrying about the citizens. It's too late for a cure. The world is doomed." He continued as he drove down the dark and quiet road. There were two cars spaced out in front of him and a car behind him. The road was surrounded completely by woods on the sides, and was very curvy, but started to straiten out as it got further into the country.

Sawyer's phone buzzed. It was a text message from Wade. Wade and Sawyer had been friends since high school. When Wade turned 19, he bought a farm and moved out of the city. Sawyer even lived with him on the farm for a few years, but then he went to college and got a job as a scientist at the Pentagon. Now, ten years later, they will be seeing each other for the first time since then.

Hey man, where you at? It's getting worse out here. You need to hurry!     The text message said.

I'm about an hour away. What do you mean it's getting worse? What happened?    Sawyer replied.

I didn't want to do it, but I had to. I had no choice. He was bitten. He would have turned if I didn't.         Wade answered.

Do what? Who was bitten? What are you talking about? Sawyer asked.

A moment later, Sawyer's phone buzzed again.

Abraham. He was attacked by one of the infected things. I had to put him down. Wade responded.

When Sawyer saw the text, his eyes widened. Abraham was their best friend in high school. When Wade bought the farm, Abraham moved there with him and worked for him.

The virus is spread through the blood. Who all is left? Sawyer texted.

It's just me, Hank, and George. We're all that's left. Everyone else is gone. Wade answered.

What happened to everyone else? Sawyer asked.

Some of them left. Braden died. Others got bitten like Abraham. I don't know how much longer Hank, George and I will be able to hold out here. Please hurry. Wade texted.

Sawyer looked down at his phone and read the text message. He was about to respond when he heard something happen in front of him. It sounded like a car wreck but he couldn't see very well in the dark. A few seconds later, he caught up with the two cars that were in front of him. One was upside down in the ditch and then other was rammed into the back of the first car. Sawyer pulled over behind the second car. The car that was behind sawyer drove right past the crash site. Sawer got out of the car and starting speed walking toward the flipped over car. The driver of the second car opened his door and was able to get out. He had black skin, long black hair, and wore a red shirt with jeans.

"Hey, you know what happened?" Sawyer asked.

"Yea, one of those infected things ran out in front of him. I'm gonna go make sure it's dead. You check out the driver." The guy answered.
