Forbidden Love

Chapter 1: First day back

~Gabby's P.O.V.~

"Gabby wake up. Its time for school."

I rolled out of bed, put on an outfit and went to the restroom to do my morning routine. I went down the stairs and saw my 2 little sisters sitting down eating breakfast. I walk into the kitchen and see my mom making my lunch for the day.

"Morning mom. I don't need you to drive me to school today. Anthony is driving me today."

(If you guys are wondering Anthony has been my best friend since I was in 2nd grade and he was in 3rd.)

"Okay sweetie. What time is he coming?" She comes over and gives me a hug and kisses my head.

I love my mom so much. My mom has been on her own raising me and my two little sisters for 4 years now. When my dad was out of the picture she was working two jobs to keep food on the table and clothes on our backs. It has been a struggle for about a year and a half. She found a good and steady job, and she has been working there ever since.

"He texted me saying that he was gonna be here at 7:15."

I hear a honk, and i hear Anthony yelling for me to hurry up. My mom comes over and gives me a hug and I kiss her on the cheek.

"Bye mom. See you after school. I love you."

"Okay sweetie. I love you too."

I grab my jacket and my backpack and i close the front door behind me. I go to his car and open the passenger door. I get in and he looks at me with a look.

"What? I was only like 3 minuets late so you can wipe that look off your face."

He looks at me and smirks and nudges me in the arm. "I did tell you I was gonna be here at 7:15. Are you ready for the first day?"

"I'm actually pretty scared to see Johnathan again. After what happened last year. I don't want anything like that to happen again."

"If anything happens text me okay?" He looks at me with a comforting smile, and holds my hand for me to settle down. I look at him and think how did I ever get so lucky to have him as my best friend.

"I will. I'm just scared that he'll try and do something. I don't want him to."

"I know Gabby. I'm sorry that I couldn't do anything to provent it or protect you from him."

"It wasn't your fault that it happened. What's done is done, and he was a mistake that I learned from."

He looked at me and smiled one of his dimple showing smiles. I couldn't help but smile back because he was my rock. The person I would go to if I need a shoulder to cry on or be there to hold me when times are tough.

I look out of the window and started thinking about all the things that happened last year. All the things with Johnathan, events with my dad, and just other things that brought me down.

We were at school in 10 minutes but it felt like forever, and I didnt recongize that I zoned out until Anthony waves his hand in front of my face.

"Gabby. We're here. Let's go."

I get out of the car and walk toward the gates with Anthony by my side until he walks over to his friends after giving me a hug. I walk toward the place where me and my group of friends hung out since freshman year.
