Nico's Dreams

Flashes of terror swerved in and out of Nico's mind as he saw horrifying visions of a demigod civil war, a sea of orange and purple as his campmates charged into battle. But even as they did, the earth beneath them crumbled, taking demigods, satyrs and nymphs alike to the depths of Tartarus.

It had to stop.
But how?

He woke up in the gloomy Hades cabin, the darkness making it almost impossible to see anything. The monotonous beeping of a sensor echoed through the room, being the only sound  he could hear. It was the device Leo had set up outside all the cabins in case the Romans declared war. They had received intel that they were approaching. Last they had checked, the Roman majority had reached Nebraska. That wasn't good. In just half a month's time they would reach New York.

He ambled out of the cabin, his eyes half open. The sun had barely appeared as the sky was dark, tinged with the smallest traces of red. Even Apollo was still asleep.

The war had only begun due to the Romans attacking Leo's ship. Terminus had been doing gods-know-what, so the warship passed the Pomerian Line, and the Romans blasted them. Now they had a war on their hands, and no Percy.

Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Leo and Coach Hedge were scheduled to leave this morning. The night before, Leo had set up a bunch of cameras around the camp, which displayed images of the camp in the dining hall of the Argo II. He said this would keep them updated on the happenings at camp. Nico wondered whether this would make them homesick.

Tyson had left a while back, off to deliver the message that a fully armed, heavily protected flying warship was about to enter the Roman Camp, and more so full of greeks. No problem.

He headed towards the dining pavilion, where everyone was waiting to bid farewell to the crew.

"Hey, Nico!" Annabeth called him. They moved in away from the half-awake campers and Annabeth said in a whisper, "Remember: If anything goes wrong, Leo will alert the Big House. Then, it's defensive mode till... well...you know." Nico nodded his head, trying to look serious as he bore the pain his severe headache was causing him.

As Annabeth and the rest walked off toward the Northern Woods, off to board the Argo II. As the battleship rose into the sky to begin its ascent, so did the Sun. Apollo probably wanted to show of his riding skills. Now, they could only hope for the best.

"Ow," Nico mumbled. The thoughts were beginning to hurt.

Not a second later, his pupils became pitch-black. Mist curled around his vision as he attempted to push away the darkness. His effort in vain, he was engulfed in black.

CLANG! Swords clashed against each other as at the base of Half-Blood Hill, a sea of purple marched forward in perfect formation. The Romans and Greeks were ar war. As they fought, the Earth shook. But this wasn't Gaia. Rockets soared through the sky, aimed at Camp Half-Blood. Wave after wave of destruction pummelled Long Island Sound to ashes. Romans and Greeks alike fell, their bodies consumed by the Earth. Now that was Gaia.

Monsters raged into the fight, knocking down whoever was dumb enough to come near them. Suddenly one ran to Nico, hit him hard in the head with a mace, and Nico lay sprawled on the ground. His soul escaped his body, bringing him down to the depths of Hades. Not long after, he was standing before his Father and Step-mother as his body materialised.

"Greetings son. I need a word."
