Dear Sir

I have recently had occasion to wonder what the collective noun for a group of harlots is.  After consulting your fine dictionary, and finding no suitable word, I humbly submit the following entry for the next edition of your fine publication:

Midden. Noun.  Collective term for a group of iniquitous women, intent on proposition.  ‘The virtuous man was surrounded by a midden’ or ‘He was besieged by a midden of strumpets’.

Your humble servant
